I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I visited a friend at Village At Greenbriar. The staff is friendly. Any time that I was in the room with my friend, they were always very positive. I know my friend has a good relationship with them. Her main complaint is the food. She has her own refrigerator, so she does have her own food there. So food is her major concern. There is a very nice woman who takes care of transportation and has taken my friend often to doctor's appointments. They have a podiatrist that comes in, and that makes things convenient. Their therapists have been very good. I've spoken with one or two of them, and my friend also likes them. They have a lot of activities going on. They also have different programs that come in, and they celebrate the different holidays and so on. I know she has commented about the different things, and she enjoys those. I had one meal there and it was okay.

Greenbriar is inviting from the minute the doors slide open. The decor and warmth inside are a delight to the eye. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the activities are in abundance. I wouldn't mind living here when I grow older. Greenbriar gets a 5+ star from me. Others cant compare. The staff has been here for year's. That alone is a testimonial to Greenbriar. Disgruntled employees dont stay. Keep up the great work Cheryl.

I have my dad placed into The Village at Greenbriar. It’s very good. Everything is very clean. The staff is very nice. Everybody is very friendly. We did choose a suite there. I haven’t tasted their food, but according to him, it’s very good. From what I saw, security is very good. He has only been there for a couple of weeks. I think the price was reasonable. There are activities daily. It is not convenient to me because I live out of town, but it is convenient to his friends and neighbors, and there are a number of people who visit him, so it is convenient for him, which is what we wanted. There is a pool, an exercise room, and outdoor walking areas that he does use.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad moved into Village at Greenbriar. It is a beautiful, modern, very clean, and well-kept facility. The staff is unbelievably nice and very caring. Everybody, so far, has been really nice and very helpful. They have a wide variety of very good food and offer something different every night. If my dad doesn’t like the main course, there is always a good alternative on the menu. They bring snacks at night to Dad’s room, like a couple of cookies or a glass of juice. They have two dining areas: one that is very nice, modern, clean and very well kept; and one for people that need a little more help, where my dad goes, and it is very nice. He gets a lot of attention there. A small group of residents are in there with several staff members to help them out either with feeding or getting them where they need to eat. Right now, my dad is in a private room, but he is moving to semi-private tomorrow. Nevertheless, both rooms are very nice and carpeted with large, clean bathrooms, nice furniture, and enough closet space. My dad’s room even has a ceiling fan, and he can go to the courtyard. Everything is very nice. The semi-private rooms are almost like private rooms, so they’re very nice, too. The facility has a lot of different activities. My dad is 91 and not doing all that well, but from what I could see, they do a lot of things. In the lobby, they have shuffleboard, a pool table, and a little place to drink. In the summer, they have a built-in pool for the residents to use. They also have a craft room and a room that’s loaded with jigsaw puzzles for people that like to do puzzles.

I visited this facility

The Village at Greenbriar is absolutely beautiful. It was just the administrator that took us around. Everything is beautiful. They have a beauty shop, and they even have a bar where you go in to take your bottle of wine. They have a swimming pool at the back. The rooms are large and beautiful. We are waiting for the two-bedroom. It is very clean, very open, light, and very cheerful. I can't wait. I'm packing up my apartment and hoping that they will call us so we could get in.

I visited this facility

My husband and I visited and took his mom later to The Village at Greenbriar. It is less expensive, and they also have quite a variety of sizes of rooms. They have single or double and even one or two apartment perhaps for couples. They have some long corridors to walk inside in bad weather which we really like. It went in a circle around the rooms. They also have some enhanced care for a very small number of residents who had been with them a while. These residents were starting to need more than their standard assistance. They were trying to accommodate a few with more help like eating -- just more help than what they normally get in assisted living. It is a relatively new place. It is nicely decorated and very clean. The furniture is traditional but lighter in color. They have independent houses that you can buy in the same community. There is a pool that is shared between the assisted living community and the independent houses. The people seemed to be out and about and not staying in their rooms. There were several women, and they were doing their nails. The Village in Greenbriar is lovely, very clean, very warm, and very welcoming.

Visited this facility

The Village at Greenbriar is a very nice place, especially when it comes to assisted living homes. The area has several different assisted living homes but I chose this one to look at when it came to my grandmother. I only toured and visited with my family but I really liked what I saw in this establishment. It was a very clean place and it was somewhere that if a family member was away from home this is the place they would want to be. This assisted living home had everything from a fitness room to a salon that was available to both men and women. There was even a sunroom where the residents could go to relax. I was very impressed with the area being as large and spacious as it was. There are private rooms and even two person apartments so the comfort level for anyone is there. The Village at Greenbriar supplies the residents with all the utilities they will need and also 24 hour security which is a great thing because it takes a lot of stress off of you knowing that your family member is safe. The residents have their meals in the very lovely dining room that is provided as well. There are so many great things here and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The employees are so nice and they are also very helpful to the residents and even the family members that come to visit. The only thing that was wrong with this home was the fact that it was just a little too far of a drive to make to visit with my grandmother. All in all this is a very beautiful and great assisted living home and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested.
