My mother was a resident at North Penn Manor for almost two years. I cannot be more pleased with the care that she received there. The staff treated her as if she were their own mother. I was never under any doubt that her best interest was always at the forefront. The facility itself is spotless. There is no smell at all , even with 70 plus residents. Judy (the owner) is so compassionate. She treated me so well as my mother was passing. All of the girls that took care of her developed such a special bond with her. It took away just a little bit of the pain that I faced in losing her. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a place to care for your loved one. They spare no effort in creating a true home environment. And, the most important component is that they really care.

We toured North Penn Manor. The tour is fine. We were greeted. We were brought into the facility. We were shown the dining hall. We were shown what the room looked like and a general consensus of activities, and what we could expect from living there. So, the staff went over all of that with us. The one that we were able to look at was a one-bedroom studio. It's just a bedroom with a bathroom and a closet. She showed us the common sitting area TV viewing room, and the two different dining halls, and told us a little bit about the activities they had at the facility with the barbecues and things like that.

North Penn Manor was active. There were a lot of activities happening in groups and the staff were friendly. It was clean. They had a few social areas. They were nice and they laid out comfortable chairs and comfortable seating areas. Everybody's very nice and welcoming.

I wasn't impressed at all with North Penn Manor. It was alright but I wouldn't want to go there. My cousin wouldn't have cared because it's nothing fantastic. It's just a bed. They would take care of them, but I wasn't impressed. The staff who gave the tour tried to be as informative as she could. The rooms were super average. The upkeep was just okay, nothing to brag about. They had a small patio outside. It's nothing fancy, just something to go out.

We went to visit North Penn Manor, it's a very nice place. The people were very nice to speak to, and the place was clean and very well organized. It seemed like it was a good contender for an opportunity or a place for my father-in-law to go. We thought it was nice and was one place that we were considering. The employees who assisted us during the tour were excellent.

I liked that North Penn Manor was a smaller community and they have more hands on deck. It's a very happy place and I'll be happy to have my friend there. They have two common spaces. One of them was used for multiple purposes, like for entertainment, games, luncheon or supper, or whichever. I liked that. It's used more than once and everybody was very helpful with their residents. The facility was very clean looking and easy to locate.

North Penn Manor was nice. The bedrooms were alright. They were kind of like college dorm rooms, maybe a little bigger for the doubles. The common areas seemed nice enough. The facility was small, but it was well taken care of, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly. The rooms were a reasonable size. The outside looked very nice. There was a walking trail not too far. There was a little playground. There was a preschool and a daycare on the grounds right across from them, which was nice for the residents to watch. The staff showed me the menu. They had a main selection for every meal, and then they had one or two alternates. It wasn't a huge menu. It wasn't like ordering from a restaurant, but there were a few options for every meal. They sounded fine. I really didn't interact with the staff, except for the one person who gave me the tour. She was very friendly. They are in an industrial park, but the school and the daycare that are right next to them kind of take away the harshness of an industrial park.

I saw North Penn Manor. They were struggling a little bit with the staff, but the people there appeared to be very dedicated and hard workers. Amenities were much less. They had fewer options as far as rooms go. You couldn't bring any of your furniture like your own bed or your chair unless you bought it new. So, it had to come directly from the store, and that's because of bad past experiences. There were fewer options in the level of care and the living quarters. It's a much smaller community. I did see the common areas, the dining area, outside seating, and individual room options. The staff was very knowledgeable, but there were just a few of them. Their facility had fewer resources to work with maybe financially and stuff. They have a couple of things that they can do independently, things like puzzles and that sort of thing. They said they have entertainment that comes in once in a while. They have once in a while off-campus trips. They didn't have as many options as the other facilities, but that didn't concern me because my father doesn't usually take advantage of those. They have exercise options, which is more important for him. So, the ones that mattered to me were there.

I chose the North Penn Manor for my brother. It was chosen for the cost and the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The rooms were very comfortable, a bedroom with a TV there, that's all I needed. He's getting excellent care as far as I know. His meals are taken care of, doctor visits are taken care of, and medication's taken care of, which is the main thing. They play some games at night such as bingo, the musicians would come in if you're interested in that, but my brother is only interested in television. He's got a cable hook-up. He likes the food.

North Penn Manor was the best place that I've been to. I took my husband with me there and he made friends right away. It's a really friendly family environment. The apartment we saw was very nice, up-to-date, and clean. The place didn't smell and nobody seemed to be displeased. They made us a very nice dinner and the food was good. The staff was very friendly and excellent.

When we came to the heart breaking decision we could not at home provide the 24hr care that Mom needed and deserved, we found North Penn Manor. Hands on owner Judy along with her staff provided the personal loving care Mom needed and enjoyed. Proactive medical care help keep Mom in tip top shape. Judy and her staff made you feel that you where part of a family and we cannot thank them enough.

My mother spent the last 4 months at N Penn Manor until she passed. I was so impressed about the quality care and respect that my mom received there. The staff was always friendly and pleasant with her and readily available to assist her with her needs. The residents are also friendly. The facility was clean. Her room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The bathroom was well maintained. After being in 2 other ALFs prior, this one ranks way above them. I only wished I found North Penn MAnor sooner.

North Penn Manor was very clean. They schedule a lot of activities for the residents, and the age group is not that old -- around 60 to 70 years old. The people who take care of the residents are friendly, outgoing, very helpful. They are there practically 24 hours a day. Their meals are served three times a day, and you can ask for more if you want to. You also have a choice of what you want to eat. There’s no set time for breakfast, so you can just go there whenever you want, and they make sure you can have what you want when you want it. They have a 24/7 nurse, and the doctors visit the facility. The rooms are very large; each room has its own temperature-control unit. They are able to bring in their own TV, refrigerator, and they don’t charge you for electricity. They also have an option if you want to get the room with a roommate. They have a shuttle that can take you wherever you need to go.

My mom moved in at North Penn Manor just this April of this year. It is close in that she is accessible for visits. It is a privately-owned facility. The owner is actually on the premises, which is nice. I like the interaction between the owner and the staff and I have a good feeling about the way everybody is interacting with themselves and with each other. No one seems disgruntled and everybody seems to be happy. Price-wise, it is also doable. We got my mom in a single room with her own bathroom and shower and it is nice. She has dementia and it is hard to gauge to know how she feels, but I think she's happier there. It is just a comfortable place. The only thing I think they could improve on is having more activities for their residents.
