The New Dawn Thorpe's Personal Care has been excellent. The owners and the administrator are just on the ball. They are very quick. Everyone there treats everyone like family. The place is immaculate, and they hand-select people from the community that are just so friendly. There are 3 floors, and the dining room area is on the 2nd floor. There are 2 apartments that are for independent living, and then there are leisure areas, couches, and a beauty shop. It's a beautifully decorated place. They have activities, parties, and celebrations. It is very unique in that on each floor, there's an area that they can sit with a lot of windows, and they can read books and look outside. There is a gazebo outside with tables and chairs, and then you can go to the back end of the place, and there are couches and chairs lined up which is great for physical therapy as well as families visiting. The dining room is separated into 2 sections. There is a big area where there's a piano and a large TV. There are nurses' stations on all 3 floors. Each room has its own private bath and shower. We couldn’t be happier where Dad is right now, and it's definitely a good choice.

I have visited a family member twice and both times none of the employees were wearing masks during a global pandemic and not taking proper precautions while visitors are permitted in the building. Don't send your loved ones here if you care about them not getting COVID and spreading it around because employees are lazy.

Thorpe’s had a very open and roomy area. All the people there were friendly and answered my questions. It’s near where my relative wanted to be. It had three floors and a huge elevator, but there wasn’t an area to go outside. My aunt would like to have a larger area to walk outside, but other than that her needs are met.
