My sister moved to Woodcliffe Manor. It was very homey and large, but I think they were slightly understaffed because when you needed somebody, you can't find anyone. The rooms were a good size and fine. The dining room was fine, and meals looked fine. It was in a good location. They decorated for the holidays, had a priest come in and do mass, did a rosary session, and did a lot of activities in the main living room area. That's where they seemed to congregate; not in their bedrooms.

I've had two family members live at Woodcliffe Manor. My Mother for seven years, ending in the Dementia Unit and my Mother in Law who still lives there. Both parents received excellent care. The facility is clean and well staffed. Yes, the building was at one time a private residence but major additions and upgrades have been done over the years. The kitchen recently did an upgrade and is comparable to an older restaurant. The food is all prepared there. There is a large turnover of staff which I suspect is common for this type of facility. A local MD visits along with hair stylists and a foot doctor. Three or four Hospice Agencies visit daily. The Provisional License has been for an unlocked door, a trash can without a lid and things like that, I understand that they also had to improve record keeping. This would be my only complaint with a total of 14 years of family care. They have misplaced a signed Advanced Care Document on three occasions for my family member. A new staff member is now in charge of documents and things seem better. They also keep residents to "end of life" which was a personal concern. We didn't want to be shopping for a new residence when our family members were near death. Overall, my wife and I have only very minor complaints and many, many positive experiences at this facility.

Woodcliffe Manor was nice and everything but the place where the assisted living is was really rundown. It looked like an old house. It's very boring and the kitchen was like from the 1900s. It was an awful, dungeon-looking place to me. I didn't like the environment and the way everything looked. I did like the convenience of how close it was but I wouldn't recommend that to anybody.
