I moved into Touchmark in the West Hills the last week of May. It is overwhelmingly caring. There are a lot of things that I don't know about and don't understand, but there is somebody here to help me. The food is wonderful. And as far as cleanliness goes, you could probably lick the floor with your tongue, that's how clean it is. They have many activities and they check on you constantly. Is there anything you need? Anything you want? It is a wonderful, wonderful place.

We toured Touchmark in the West Hills. We saw all of it. It has three tiers. The bottom tier has all the activities and so on, which seem to be wonderful. They have everything there. Some of the lodgings are there, too. The assisted living was more remote though. If you wanted to get down to the other activities, I felt like you had to be mobile or have assistance to get down there. And it's pretty spread out. They didn't discuss much of the money, but I kept seeing things about independent living and putting $1 million down. The waiting list is very long from what I understand. They had all kinds of activities and gardening outdoors. They had a restaurant, an exercise room, and all the typical things. They seemed to be utilized more than in other places. The staff we dealt with was friendly. The staff took us through several rooms that were getting prepared for the future. They were open to the outside, so you felt like you had some room. You could see outside and not just look at the street.

Retirement portion of this community is great and people seem happy. Stay away from the memory care unit. Staff is overwhelmed. Appears to have inadequate over site. For the cost I would suggest a more intimate setting such as Adult Foster Care to get better specialized care in a smaller less corporate environment.

My brother will be moving into Touchmark in the West Hills. The staff was very good. The facility was beautiful. The rooms had a kitchen, and a full-sized refrigerator with a bottom drawer freezer, and they had a nice amount of space. They're fairly large. They've got a greenhouse, a pool, a hot tub, walking paths, and some kind of court. They've got quite a bit outside. We had lunch there and it was excellent. They've got a salon, a bar and a happy hour once a week, and a couple of gyms. They have a larger gym and then they have a small area where people can do home health physical therapy. They've got just about everything you could ask for. They have concerts at times. They have lots and lots of activities. It's just an excellent place.

We're living in Touchmark in the West Hills. It's a whole package. It's too expensive but a high-quality place with decent food and with a good support system for people who need help. We have been here for a year and a half. The staff is very caring. They have quite a few activities; there's a variety of activities. There would be movies, and on Wednesdays, we gather and share a wine that they provide. They have an outdoor patio on the independent living side, but we're welcome to go on both sides, so that's fine. And they also have a fitness center with a swimming pool and lots of equipment.

We've looked at Touchmark in the West Hills. It's excellent, but it's also expensive. They have whatever you need. They have people that help with medication, they get them to exercise classes, and they can have their meals in their room or their dining room. They had lots of activities, and the food was great. They had a dining room where you can order from a menu if you want.

Touchmark in the West Hills was very nice and brand new. They aren't open yet, but the people I've worked with are lovely, caring, warm, and transparent as far as what the care will be. The facilities were aesthetically beautiful. They are full-service assisted living, memory care, and pre-memory care.
