My mother is a resident. We could not ask for a more accommodating staff. They have been exceptionally wonderful during this pandemic. She has been there more than a year, anytime I had an issue or question it was addressed quickly and professionally.

Worst facility I’ve ever seen. Residents were ignored & neglected. The residents’ safety was not the priority. I observed bed sores from head to toe on the residents. They were treated very poorly. I was informed to ignore the paraplegic roommate or “she will bug me for attention all day.” I wasn’t going to let her lay there crying in pain because the staff didn’t want to adjust her legs in the bed all day!!

The rooms are horrible and dark. Very low lighting. Curtains are shut like a dungeon. Staff is terrible one of the said half had left they were afraid they were going to be shut down. They are like from a scary movie. I did not see any interaction. WHAT I DID SEE. A man laying on the floor a nurse step over him. You could not step anywhere for the urin on hte floor. You need a mask to go in. The first night patients were smoking in the building until I reported them. The IMPORTANT workers would go in their office and shut doors. Get your family out as soon as possible. 85 percent of my mom clothes were stolen. Some scary looking workers. Kitchen door was so gross.

This place is a nightmare. It's infested with roaches. If you need help or anything more than likely u won't get it. I've heard multiple employees fight with each other or gossip about residents. I actually had to leave my room to get help for my roommate. Staff were verbally abusive to my room mate. I don't know how much longer I can be here.

My mother lives at Maplewood. It is terrible!!! She is miserable and getting worse daily. The care is minimal, she can't get a bath on a regular schedule, and eating time and food quality varies from day to day. Her room is dark and the place stinks. Don't take a loved one there!

My brother has been at Maplewood for approximately 4 years now. I could not have asked for a better facility and more caring workers. With all that has gone on with the Covidvirus knowing that we could not see the residents Maplewood was nice enough and caring enough to set up a day we could visit our loved one's by seeing them at their window. Just to see the them made a world of difference to us. With all the nursing homes having so many deaths because of the virus Maplewood has done a wonderful job taking care of all their residents. Thank you to Maplewood and their staff for all you are doing. Roz

My late mother was a resident at Mapplewood for less than a week! It was horrible!! Her room was dark, at the end of the hall and the dining room was claustrophobic. I went for an unannounced visit—the best kind—she said she had fallen onto the concrete floor and laid there for a long time—she was a fall risk!!! When I confronted the LPN on duty, she said the doctor would arrive Monday and would look at my mother. As if; did I mention I was there on Saturday! They were going to make her wait in pain for two days!!! NO!! Told her she calls an ambulance or I call my attorney. The ER doctor said to find another nursing home and report Maplewood. Why that miserable place is still in business, I have no idea

Maplewood Care Center had a big, open area that I liked. You could see all of downtown Tulsa, and I liked the scenic view that they had. They were getting ready to play bingo when we were there, and they were so excited about that. They had two dining areas with one area for people that needed a little bit more assistance with staff there assisting those who needed assistance. They were kind of busy because they were also having lunch when we went that day. The staff and the rooms were both nice. They had a little courtyard area for the residents, which I liked. It was fenced and gated in, so they did not have to worry about residents roaming off. I liked the overall experience. I would not hesitate to place my father or loved one in that place.

The dining room was beautiful, and they had three meals a day for the residents. They had a fireplace, a piano, and activities for the residents. They had an area where there's smoking room only. They had an activities director, social services, and director of nursing. It's like a home there in Maplewood Care Center.
