I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The rooms are cold and hardly any furniture , the atmosphere is very cold. They put my mother in quarantine for 10 days because they forgot to ask for a Covid test and when they tested her they said it came out positive. She just came from a hospital and was still recovering from surgery. They did not start therapy with while she was in Covid. So walking was very difficult (2 weeks in bed) . the Covid discords ( like the aprons, masks, disposable food trays, cups, diapers, nasty soiled linens stayed in the bathrooms in cardboard boxes were left for days.) . They smelled bad. Physical therapy did not start for a long time. Getting a bath was a joke because they didn’t even give her a bath during her quarantine time. The food is not made there it trucked in, they just have to heat it and serve. They do not help with oral hygiene either ( brushing any teeth that they may have is out of the question. They are short on staff the weekend staff was better than the week staff. Call button push and maybe 20-30 minutes later someone may show up. If you need a pill they may get it than it could be an hour. And getting a bath is physical therapy. There is something differently wrong at this facility. The company that owners this place has others in the state so if you have time check out as many as possible become you put ur loved one in a place. But most of them will candy coat and make it sound like thy care for you.

My husband was at The Gardens for skilled nursing. He was very pleased with the care, the food, and the accommodation. He was kind of upset once he got back home because he didn't get my full attention, and he called them to ask if he could go back. It was a very good experience for him. He had been in another facility way earlier, but the care was not even close to the care that he received in The Gardens. Visits were just in the lobby area, but he said that there was adequate room. He had room for his wheelchair and there was a dresser. He was also telling me that the bed was really comfortable, and he was just very pleased with the service and everything. They were very good to him. Everything was in good shape. It was a little outdated; it was not your modern-looking decor, but it was homey and comfortable. Everything was clean and he enjoyed it. He didn't have any bad things to say about it. He did not want to be there at first, but once he got there everything was great. They took care of him and he was really pleased. I felt like we came out as winners. I guess the price was higher than other nursing homes, but I felt like the care he received was well worth it, as pleased as he was.

My wife was in a rehab center for a while. It was The Gardens. Facility-wise it was fair. She could barely walk. She had two hip surgeries on the same side. She had cancer and this dementia that's really getting to be bad. The staff was good. In the rehab they were good. They were trying to exercise her. Medicare and CommunityCare paid for it, so there was no cost. However, I think she should have had more activities.

I visited this facility

The sales director at The Gardens was very pleasant, and very informative. They showed me a single room with a separate bathroom. They looked adequately staffed. I was impressed, but they had a waiting list. The rates were reasonable.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother was a resident at The Gardens for a while. They were pretty good. It was more hands-on kind of nursing care. It definitely does have the nursing home atmosphere when you walk in, but it does appear to be clean. It's about average in size -- not really small, but not really big either. It was satisfactory. If that's the type of care that they need, I would recommend it. I never felt my mother was neglected in any way.

We chose The Garden because at first glance it appeared to be a clean and caring environment. However, after we placed our mother there they neglected her, then packed her up and sent her back to the hospital every time we turned around. They finally refused to take her back because she needed too much care! I'm sorry but it's that their job? They have plenty of other less needy patients waiting in line! The only thing positive I can say is they have an excellent Therapy Team.

My mom was at The Gardens for rehab. Our experience with them was excellent. What I like most about them was their caring staff. I really love the physical therapy. Sanitation was very good.

This is an excelent Facility.

The gardens have a very caring staff. They are very clean and caring. I recommend this facility to anyone that has a loved one in need of assistance. If you chose this nursing home you will be very satisfied with how well your loved one is treated. They have very excellent security and living areas. I hope you will have a wonderful experience with this facility.
