This is a nice looking facility at first glance. They are chronically understaffed and have a very high turnover rate. I have seen neglect that some would consider abusive. Many residents can't feed or relieve themselves without help. All too often they aren't fed and are left sitting in their own filth for extended periods. Cleanliness in the bathrooms and dining areas is poor. Things are better during the day. They provide some activities and have more staff on hand. Recently they have run low on food. So, some items were eliminated, portions were reduced or there wasn't enough to go around. I would not put anyone that I love in here.

Oxford Manor in Owasso (Oxford Glen Memory Care at Owasso) was excellent. The place itself was excellent. I was very impressed. They have excellent people. The staff member was extremely accommodating. They gave me all the time that I needed, they were articulate, they answered all my questions, and they provided me with information. They were all stellar. I didn't stay for the meal, but the dining set-up was excellent too.

I didn’t like Oxford Glen very much although it was clean and well staffed but it reminded me too much of day treatment. I used to work in mental health, and it reminded too much of that. It was clean and well supervised. The individual rooms were open into a central area. It isn’t likely that people are going to get lost, and they did have activities going on; those were the positive things about it. It’s safe and clean, but I don’t particularly like it for my mother.

Oxford Glen Memory Care at Owasso is absolutely wonderful. It's a beautiful facility, but it's quite a distance from my home. It's very clean and has a very positive atmosphere and attitude. The people staying there seem to be quite pleased and happy. The staff members seem to be knowledgeable, pleasant, and willing to help. The rooms are an ample size, seem to be kept clean, and are very nice.

My father-in-law is in Oxford Glen Memory Care. It’s very beautiful because it’s a brand-new facility. There are only 14 residents in each community. Each community has its own kitchen, living room, dining, and staff, so I like it because it’s just the right amount of people; not a ton of people all in one location. The maintenance is good; they keep it up pretty well. My father-in-law says the food is really good. One thing I don’t like about it is that it has carpets. My father is incontinent and has had several accidents in his room, so they constantly have to clean the carpet, which I think is nasty. I wish they would have done tile or hardwood floors so they would be easier to maintain. My father-in-law has fallen probably four times, and each time, he has just been left on the floor until somebody found him. We have to get a lifeline for him because I guess they don’t check on him that often. It’s one issue that we’re taking seriously at this point and hope that they work it out.

We went to visit Oxford Glen. It was a nice place, but at the time of the visit, it was not appropriate for my mom. They told us that they only do memory care. The staff that we met was very nice. I feel the place would be great for anyone that needs memory care services.
