I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved to Brookdale Claremore. My mother says that the food is good. The aides that help her are very kind and helpful, and I've never heard a bad word from any of them. Anybody you meet in the hall are all caring and pleasant people. The administrators and heads of departments are very helpful. I guess the apartment you would call it is clean and pleasant. They have a nice courtyard. They have a nice dining room and a pleasant interior. Everything seems clean inside and all of the staff are extremely nice. The exterior of the facility is attractive and kept up. The assisted living is less if you don't have elevated care, but she had to have elevated care. So, in my book, it's fairly expensive. They have bingo. They had a singing group come in. They have some kind of activity once a month that they have the families come. I was told and I haven't been to one, but I think they try to keep them interested and busy.

I visited this facility

Brookdale Claremore was clean, and it looked like they had a lot of activities for the people. They were putting puzzles together and they were playing some kind of a card game in one room. I didn't care for the studio apartment. The staff was very helpful. The dining area was big. The only thing that bothered me is that you have to have a code to get in and out, and I don't think my mother would like that.

I like Brookdale Claremore. It's a good place. My husband is in the memory care unit and their aides are very well trained on how they should talk to the residents and how to handle them. They treat the people as humans. They are very caring. It's like one big happy family. When we're having a Father's Day celebration or Mother's Day celebration, everybody comes around, talking to the residents, laughing, and smiling. They have a great maintenance guy named Scott. He would play his guitar and sing to them. He's a Christian guy and has a great personality. All the other staff were also nice. You would feel comfortable talking to them. It's a very nice place. I like my husband's room better than a couple of other places. You can make it look like home. The food is very good, too. A lot of times, they have them sit around the table doing activities with their hands, like painting or playing games. The other day, they went bowling. Like so many places, they just need more help. The halls are long and it's hard to keep an eye on all of the residents at the same time, but I understand that they just can't get the help they need nowadays.

I thought Brookdale Claremore memory care was a nice, and clean place. I was impressed with the employees and the people that I dealt with during my visit. I met some of the staff and I thought they were nice people. They all came over and introduced themselves. The food was a healthy fixed meal and it was good. The place was clean and nice. I was impressed with that. When you get dementia, I don't think you enjoy anything. It's hard and I don't think they could make the residents do anything but I think the activities that they offer would be good for them.

I went to Brookdale Claremore. The lady who showed us around and answered questions was very polite and very informative. It looked clean. That particular day, they were having an activity and I don't know what the occasion was, but they were setting up chairs outside and planning an activity for later that afternoon. The room that we saw was nice, clean, and looked very adequate for my aunt's needs. Based on our interview and the showing, it was good.

We visited Brookdale Claremore for my mom. It was very nice. It was clean and smelled good. The people were very nice, and the services were good. If I were to choose a place, that's what I would chose. We did not taste anything, but the menu looked great.

We went to Brookdale Claremore on Monday, and it was just really nice. The two staff members that we met were really pleasant people and helpful. They showed us in their laptop what the rooms looked like and everything. It looked like they're very caring, and the facility was really nice, very clean and very well cared for. The layout was fine. I didn't get to see the apartments, but they looked really nice and really nice-sized, and they had a lot of amenities.

We liked Brookdale Claremore, so we moved my mom there. It's very nice and the staff seems very responsive. It's very close to my house and I have no problems with it. My mom says the food is fine. They have places for them to gather and they do things together. They have a nice dining room and the rooms are nice. The facility looks very clean and they have a nice interior courtyard. There's also a sunroom.

Brookdale Claremore is giving mother-in-law a higher quality of life. She’s happy and laughing and talking and making friends and doing things. It was a great move. The facility is a very nice place with a lot of activities. It’s very clean and lovely. The food was good, it’s home-cooking comfort food. The staff were very helpful and they seem to be very careful. We trust them.

We really liked The Sterling House. My dad’s room was a lot nicer there compared to where he is now. He was there for a while, and it was a really nice place. They treated him very nicely, and everything was great. The reason I got him there was because they were having a promotion thing that the rest of the month of February would be free and then the month of August would be free, but there was no contract. The place did not have any kind of smell. It was very clean, and it seemed really new. They also had a memory care unit there. They were really good about his meals and getting him exactly what he wanted. It was a pretty small community. I do not know how many people were in there, but he was having a lot of attention.

I visited this facility

Sterling House was super nice but far from my grandma’s place. The people were very nice and knowledgeable for people with dementia, and they let them roam around freely within the facility. It’s like a hotel. They are playing cards, and I saw ladies were dancing. Accommodation was very impressive.

Sterling House is way above the rest. We looked at several in South Dakota, and those were all terrible. I think the laws are different in Oklahoma where they can provide assisted living with additional care. I believe that makes it possible for this place to do what they do. But it was the personal care, the number of workers, and the freedom that the patients have. It's an Alzheimer's unit, but they give care until the end. They provide care and don't ship them off to a nursing home. It's a beautiful place. But it is the care that i am drawn to.

We moved our mom into Sterling House June 3, 2014. I really am pleased with the staff and the rooms. I visited her last week and she was playing Bingo. They have gotten her to join in exercise, singing, and visiting with other residents. She had previously lived by herself for 17 years. She really needed the social activities. My brother and I joined her for lunch the first day. It was an excellent meal. My brother brought tomato plants and planted them in a raised bed they have out in the courtyard. They are very encouraging for the residents to participate in activities that they enjoy and looking for more all the time. I am very happy that my mom is safe. They have to let you in and out the door. I have found peace of mind in that aspect. The apartments are very nice. Nice sized rooms with a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a walk-in closet, small kitchenette.

We are very satisfied with how everything works there: their security, their staff, and their attentiveness. The rooms were very nice, clean, and roomy. The have games, musical guests, gardening, and they do crafts. I like their attentiveness and that they monitor the residents very often. They didn't just let them sit in a room and do nothing.

I have visited Sterling House with my Aunt about 18 months ago She is currently on a waiting list for her room. Their staff are wonderful. I was able to talk with the marketing director and we exchanged information via email. While I was with my Aunt 3 members, the director. Nurse and assistant marketing director came to see us We discussed my Aunt's needs and how they would be met My cousin and I went to visit to address the furniture arrangements, we visited several rooms, met residents. We had a great time. I feel this will be a blessing for my Aunt. And for our family

If someone has to be cared for 24/7 and the family can no longer keep them at home, this is the best place for them to be. It is a 302 bed facility and the residents' needs come first. If they had the funding to be fully staffed all the time, I would have given it a 5 star. My brother is a quadriplegic and requires full care, bathing, dressing, feeding, medicating, everything. They treat him as a person, not a number or a paycheck.
