Mom was at Friends Care Community of Yellow Springs for long-term care. The staff was very friendly and they were good to their residents. The rehab section was nice. They had a room out front with a juice bar where the families could come in and dine with the residents and bring whatever they wanted. There was a pond right across the building and the residents could walk around it. They could improve on shift change directions, giving the ones coming on shift more information about the patients.

After trying 2 other facilities, my mom chose Friends Care & what a great decision that was! She passed away in May at age 90 & never had an unhappy day there. The supervisor, Hannah, and staff were so loving to my mom and did everything possible to meet her physical, dietary, and mental needs. There are a variety of activities available and the cook, Noel, prepares delicious meals that she always serves with a smile. There are only 20 rooms, so residents are not forgotten. The rooms are nice, kept clean, and the grounds breathtaking. I was SO glad my mom was taken care of with such love. Greatest place!

I think Friends Care Center is a very good place. We've been very happy with it. The staff is very nice. They really give you a really good feeling. It's not cold, it's very warm. It doesn't seem like an institution and it feels like home. The food is not the best in the world, but they do a good job. My mom needs gluten-free, and they make sure she has the proper food. They have bingo, a lot of parties that involve from the outside like family members come, they celebrate holidays, too. The food could be better. Otherwise, they're really good.
