I have been so impressed with everything they have done during this pandemic to keep the residents and staff safe. I went to visit my family member recently and had such a lovely time visiting. They have built these outdoor walls to protect the residents and visitors during their visiting time which are so nice. They have figured out a way for us to see each other and I am so grateful. We are so happy we chose Chesterwood and their amazing staff. True heroes!

Terrible care. Not nice. Not responsive to needs. Facility beautiful but patient wasn’t bathed regularly or dressed. Lied. Things disappeared. Due to lack of dressing changes of surgical sites, despite saying it was done, patient was admitted with incision infections with resistant bacteria requiring 3 weeks of IV antibiotics. Dated dressings confirmed lack of being dressings being changed

Chesterwood Village was very large and a very nice area. They showed me what an apartment would be like. I said I would like one with a balcony so I could see outside better, and probably on the second floor or the main floor. They have a very main area called The Main Street, and it has a place where you could get ice cream, another place where you could go to a movie, and an exercise place. It's kind of like a main street with a lot of options. I saw a smaller apartment first that didn't have a separate bedroom, but then I wanted to see one that had a separate bedroom, so I saw two apartments that day. Everything there is fairly new or looks new and is very well kept up. I saw a few people walking around too, and many of the women were using walkers. We also went to one area where they were eating, and everybody looked happy with the food. They have assisted living and a nursing home. The place is very large and it's spread out. I was in the independent living building during my visit. They have everything there, even a washer and dryer. The person who toured me around was very warm and friendly. She was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Under staffed and poorly managed. My family member has been there for a month and we have had nothing but problems. Main issues: -nurses refuse to give prescribed pain medicine -nurses forget to give medicine at scheduled times -forgotten meals and late dinners -dirty rooms: not cleaned regularly and ant problem -we contacted the head of nursing and he never responds back -we contacted the social worker and she never responds back -you will talk to someone who acts like they care, then they will ghost you -family member will hit the nurse button and no one comes to their room for hours -when visiting, hours go by and no workers are in sight -nurses are rude and don’t enjoy their job -we are paying hundred of dollars a day for very poor service

my mom was recently there for rehab. a 94 yr old with a fractured spine and ribs. I was told that Maylan would apply for the Medicaid waiver program and provided all the documentation needed. 3 weeks later after numerous calls and emails was finally told she never applied for her. Don't trust her to look after your loved one. She had plenty of time and all that was needed, then avoided telling me, it put us back 3 weeks.

My parents are moving into Chesterwood Village. I like it because it's closer to my house. It's a good neighborhood, and the people that I spoke with seemed to care a lot about the residents. It seemed like a nice layout. It seemed like there were a lot of good senior citizen's activities, so they were not all sitting around bored out of their minds. I spoke to a lot of residents there and they seemed to enjoy living there. They showed us condo houses that they had behind the building itself. When we toured it, they were redoing the floors and the carpeting in the units, but all of the appliances were out in the garage while they were doing the refit. So as far as I know, all the appliances are supplied. The staff who toured us was very attentive to everything that we were looking for. She helped us with any issues that we had.

My mom is on the waiting list because she's waiting for a patio home to become available and she has her mind set on that. She wanted two bedrooms and a garage, which the apartments didn't have. Diane gave us the tour and she was very nice. She showed us all of the possibilities because they had apartment homes and patio homes, and they were beautiful. We were able to see the residents that lived in them and that was nice of them to let us into their homes, to show us how nice it was or how big it was, and how they had decorated them. She showed us the grounds and the amenities. She made it very clear that Mom could stay at the patio home until she needed medical care, and then they could move her into a different section of the facility. They've got a movie theater, a little ice cream parlor, a library, and different community places.

The staff was nice, the activities were the same as the other place I toured, and the place was very nice. They have a lot to do, and it feels like you're on vacation. The staff who gave the tour was very professional, friendly, nice. The place was very clean and nice. They have a restaurant, gym, a salon, a little cafe, and an activities room.

It was very clean and very helpful. I haven't had any of their food while I was there because of the pandemic. They keep in touch. Since my husband won't be able to go into a patio home, we're gonna have to go into an independent apartment living. Their patio homes were very spacious and very nice, and I would be making my own meals if I went into the patio home. I haven't been into the apartments where they furnish a meal and things like that. The staff was very thorough and very good. The structure was great. When anybody moves out, new carpet goes in, and it's all painted. It's all redone a couple of weeks before anybody moves in. It's very close to the grocery store and shopping area. It is also very close to the interstate; so if family members want to come and visit, they can. If you want to go out to eat or shopping, you could do that. They have a bus that takes people or you could independently go out. It was close enough that we could keep the doctors that we have.

My mom lived at Chesterwood for several years. She Enjoyed all the activity offered that families could join in on, Originality of atmosphere on Main Street is fun and inviting. My mom felt like she found a place she could call home. The residents are friendly and looked after her while she was adjusting to all the newness. We have told our friends to look here when it is time to place their loved ones."

It is a very nice community. It's beautiful. They provide activities and meals, and they have an aide and a nurse. My father seems to like the food very well. The staff is extremely nice.

My grandmother was a resident there for many years. She was always well taken care of. The facility is clean. She always told me that the food was good. Unfortunately as she got older we had to move her into skilled nursing. I would have taken her nowhere else beside Chesterwood!

I went here. They were awesome, but they did not fit my needs. I was looking for a two-bedroom, and they did not have one. It was great, and it was very clean.

It is very nice and in a nice location. It is also easy to get onto the freeway. There's lots of shopping nearby. We had classes there for retired people and had eaten there, too. They had a movie theater in their main building, which was very nice. However, we did not go to visit any of the independent condos because there wasn't one that was available to see.

Chesterwood was very good. The staff was very nice, took a lot of time with us, and showed us a lot of different things. They had menus and a buffet-style dining room. They had multiple types of dining and quite a few activities like games, crafts, and movies. They had a library, a salon, physical therapy, a theater, and an ice cream bar.

I’m going here. It’s a very nice place. The food smelled good. They have a lot of activities, the ladies go out shopping and the men go to sports outings, golf outings, or casinos. The rooms seemed real nice, they had patio homes, but they were pretty well filled up.

We visited Chesterwood, which is the second best that we like. They offer a really good physical therapy and workout area. They were so good that they can actually take people from outside of Chesterwood to provide physical therapy for us, so they really are set up for good physical therapy. The staff was very helpful.

Mom ended up being here; she’s all set and comfortable. When my father passed away, she just moved into a different unit there. They have everything; they have independent-living, assisted living, dementia units, and nursing units. They have apartments, condos, and a patio home. It’s an upscale neighborhood, and it’s an upscale facility. The staff is excellent so far. She enjoys the coffee, breakfast, the bingos at night, and the Wednesday outings with the other independent-living residents. She enjoys the shuttle that goes to the stores a couple of times a week. She enjoys the parties that they have every week and the facilities they have there.

It is a very nice facility. My mother is in independent, and my father is in rehab right now. The dining room is very clean, and the food is just OK. The staff is extremely friendly in the dining area. They have a movie theater and a lot of common areas like a coffee area. It's a very cute community.

I was here for rehab. The whole facility was great, and the people who work there from the housekeeping all the way up to the nurses, and doctors were very pleasant and very helpful with anything you needed. They were just all excellent; the place was excellent, and the people were excellent. If you need rehabilitation or nursing care, this would be one of the places I would recommend for you to go.

My Grandfather stayed at Chesterwood for several years due to Parkinson's disease, and I must say, they do a great job. Not only did my grandfather receive excellent care, but he also had freedom that most other assisted living facilities don't offer. They offer a full restaurant, pet shop, ice cream par lour, pool tables, and much more. Not only did it feel like home, even for myself, it felt like a community. My grandfather had friends that would come and visit him inside Chesterwood, or friends that he would take strolls with throughout the facility. Personally I would suggest Chesterwood to anyone considering himself or herself or a relative for a nursing home. Great quality, great facility, great faculty.
