The Doctor on staff and a few nurses are overwhelmed . They do and can not give adequate individual care. I would and never will recommend this place to anyone...ever.

I feel this is one of the better places for the elderly and re-hab. My mother is now there and she is treated very well. I do agree with other reviews that they should hire some more staff. They do lose clothes even though they are marked. The food always looks great and smells good. The facility is always clean. The staff is very friendly and do care about the patients. The grounds are beautiful and there are a lot of activities if the individual wishes to participate. They could use better storage as if you are a permanent resident the storage is not a lot.

My mother was in Springmeade Healthcenter with a broken hip. It's an awesome place with very caring staff and small but accommodating rooms. My mother was treated very well there. They had all kinds of activities. They were there for my mother, and everyone's very cordial and accommodating. There's a beauty shop, therapy rooms, bird sanctuary, a very nice outdoor courtyard, and a beautiful front entry that's full of rocking chairs. Their meals were good. Overall, we were highly satisfied. The food was excellent.

Facility is consistently understaffed on weekends. We are given excuses that nurse worked X number of hours that week or the nurse was by herself until a certain hour. Patient waited over an hour for a routine treatment. Staff is preoccupied with what services insurance will pay and told me my family member was going to get worse, not better. Facility lost a great deal of patient's clothes which have not been found, The facility is clean, and rooms are large.

I do know that Springmead was a very good facility because we had a friend of ours there for some rehab and they were very good with him. Their facilities were absolutely excellent. It was also a beautiful place. It was bright and cheerful and their people were very good. Everybody was very friendly and seemed very happy to be there. It was just a very open atmosphere. Everything that I saw there was just really there to take care of the needs of their patients and their loved ones.

This facility is usually clean and well taken care of but the nursing staff appears to be short handed at times and patient must sometimes wait up to a half hour before they are taken care of for things like going to the bathroom or needing to change clothes or have their bedding changed. Most of the staff seem pleasant and really care for the patients they care for. I think it would be a great facility if they would just hire a few more aids. The food looks good and seems to be well prepared. The residence have at least two choice for each meal. They also seem to have many activities available to residents that are able to take advantage of them. They have entertainment come in and have games and movies and other things to keep their spirits up. I would recommend this place to friends and family, even though I did not give it the highest ratings.
