My father is in the independent living section of Springfield Masonic Community so he has a condo. Everything about there is top-shelf. The community is laid out well. They have many carryout kinds of things in case anybody needs emergency supplies overnight or because of the weather. They have a dining room that serves really good food. They have transportation services. During the grass-cutting season, they're out there cutting grass 3 or 4 times a week to keep everything tidy. They shoveled the snow and they even shoveled all the driveways and sidewalks up to the front door and salted them so that nobody would slip and fall. They have a 24-hour security team that drives around and checks the community to make sure nothing is looking suspicious.

I have been to Springfield Masonic Community once or twice. I was investigating and I wanted to see what's available. They have different living arrangements depending on what the customer needs. They have a high-rise apartment. They have some that sit out away from that in a big open area, and those are very nice. They have a one-car garage and that sort of thing. The healthcare is on the high-rise-type arrangement living. I saw a lot of recreational activities available and a lot of nice people. They had a library and a lot of recreational things like pool tables and stationary bicycles and all that stuff. The staff who assisted me was very good, and I was very pleased. It's a big place, and so she took us all around in her car and showed us everything that there was to see. Also, you can take your meal to your apartment, or you go to the main dining room, whatever. However, the place is expensive.

We are choosing Springfield Masonic Community for my father. He's going to be moving in 2 weeks. Financially speaking, he is a Mason so that is going to help a lot with the cost. He's going to their assisted living. It was very clean, the setup was really good, and all of the amenities seem to be what he needs. The staff there, I thought, was extremely helpful and friendly and it seemed very genuine to me. I feel that my father will get good care there. The person who toured me around did a good job. He was the initial contact person and he's in sales. He's helped me navigate through this. They have so many extra activities for the residents. They also have a barbershop salon and a gift shop.

I think Springfield Masonic Community's rehab personnel were good with my father. They seemed caring, as well as most of their nurses. I know everybody is understaffed, but he seemed to get really good care when he was there. I'm sure some things could be better, but for the most part, I think they did a good job with what time they had.

Springfield Masonic Community was excellent. The apartment was beautiful and perfect for what I liked. They only offered two meals a day, but they had a kitchenette in the apartments. The young man that showed me around showed me a lot of things. There were so many things to do. It was a brand-new building.

My mother has a lot of friends at Springfield Masonic Community. It's excellent, she's happy there, and we're very pleased. There are five levels of care there from independent down to memory care, and my mom is in independent living at this time. It is a peaceful, park-like setting with about 15 buildings on a large campus. It is beautifully-run and beautifully-maintained, and I can't imagine finding a place where my mom could be happier. The staff and the services are excellent. I would recommend them highly. They don't just do hospital or clinic care. They're every possible level of care you could possibly need when you need it. There are at least 10 activities on the calendar every single day, and they range from field trips and luncheons to movies and games. We are extraordinarily pleased, and I just couldn't imagine a community run with more care and attention to the people there in the community. It's just wonderful, and mom is extraordinarily happy there.

I was able to visit Springfield Masonic Community and I did not like it. There weren’t a lot of choices for the residents. I think they should need to update their living quarters. It was very old and outdated. The place smelled. The staff were somewhat distant. There were as warm as friendly as other places. They seemed like they had a problem with the management there.

The facility was nice The staff on the other hand was busy reading text messages As a resident yelling for help She need to go to restroom I thought residents came first! In this case the phone is first Residents can wait ! This is there Golden years waiting and waiting In hope that some one might answer there cry and not the phone!! This is not the first time I had to wait for the staff to finish texting to answer a question !

Masonic Home is a very plush and expensive facility. It is very lovely and well-kept. They have beautiful grounds. They also have security here. Food here is a little lacking though. They don't seem to know how to cook because there are diabetics here and there are people that needs their food to be less salt. They just give you what you can get in the restaurant. For me it is okay, I'm not in a bad shape and I can afford to eat them, but for others, they should be a little consideration.

A few years ago I was with my grandmother as my family and I sought to move her into an assisted living facility. During our search for the perfect home for her, we toured nearby Springfield Masonic Community and the assisted living residences. We were welcomed by many staff members and residents into the community and were given a thorough and detailed tour of the facility and amenities. My grandmother eventually chose to make a move down South, however, the impression that this facility left on myself and on my family was great. Should my grandmother have chosen Springfield Masonic Community, she would have had a private room with access to many social gathering areas. Lounges and separate kitchenette areas were available for use, and a large picnic pavilion was available for get-togethers and relaxing with the family. Ramps and elevators made access to dining areas, the gift shop, library, chapel, post office, and offices easy to get to and maneuver around to. Finally, an underground walkway provided access to other campus buildings during inclement weather. Although my grandmother is happy living near her sister in another community, we almost wish she would move back to Springfield not only to be near to us but also to enjoy the many amenities and activities offered by Springfield Masonic Community.
