I took my husband with me to see The Renaissance of Richfield/Bath. I liked their interaction with their members (that's how they call their residents and I liked that, too). It was great and they took a lot of time with me. Chelse and Kitty spent time with my husband.. They took him and showed him around. They understand that he likes gardening, so they're going along with the program that he's going to be doing a little bit of landscaping. Their room sizes were great. It wasn't crowded. I also liked the fact that the memory care people can come over to the assisted living side and join in activities over there. I've actually called them late in the evening, like 9 or 10:00, and they've answered the phone every time. Everything was clean and wonderful. They have what they call the Main Street that has a movie theater (in the mornings they use it as a chapel), a beauty/barbershop, and a cafe. So, if my husband and I wanted to go in there and sit down and drink coffee or whatever, we could do that. The other thing I liked about it was it's always locked so he can't wander, but they are going to give him a bracelet to wear so they can monitor if he happens to wander. Plus, they take Medicaid.

We chose The Renaissance of Richfield/Bath for my sister-in-law. The people seem nice, we talked to the owner, it's privately owned. Everything that we talked to them about they seemed amiable and very up to date on everything. It's a very nice facility. One of the reasons they've applied for Medicaid is they don't wanna lose the people that are staying there because they ran out of money. We've been in the lobby, the lobby area is really nice, and we've been in one of the offices, and that was the extent of our visit. The facility was extremely clean.
