The staff here works very hard, i call all staff here angels, they try so hard. I come in for several hours a day and i get to observe how they interact with all the residents that are here.

I went to Legacy North Royalton to visit a friend three months ago. I don't think I liked anything least about it. The food looked good and they appeared to be relatively well-staffed. My friend was happy and that's the big thing. The rooms were big. You can bring stuff in. The bathrooms were also big. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They were very nice and they have lots of activities. They have bingo. They do cards. They have a therapy dog that comes in. The last time I was there, they made sure everybody got their diabetic shoes. They have parties all the time. They have church services. They'll keep you busy.

My mother-in-law was in ManorCare Health Services. It's a nursing home, a beautiful place, and very well-maintained. They're very, very good with family requests, especially during COVID. It's a five-star place. It's very well organized, the staff members are very friendly and accommodating. The menu was good but I have never tried the food. If my mother-in-law ate it, it was good because she was very picky. They had activities, but because it was COVID they had a kind of separation. They did crafts with them. They do a lot for the seniors. They plan activities, they have a spa for them, and people that do manicures. They do all kinds of stuff at movie night. They try to interact a lot with the seniors that are in there.

i am forced to give one star in order to submit this, but I honestly cannot even give this place one star. I am submitting this in the hopes anyone who even considers this place reads this. This place should be shut down!! After being released from Southwest after gall bladder extraction, my mother-in-law went here for rehab on 10/29/19 since she was weak and had been in bed for ten days straight. This was a woman who still did her cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. After a day or so of arriving at ManorCare, she complained of her mouth being on fire, to which she was told there was nothing; however, by the end she had thrush all the way down her esophagus. It took forever to get anyone to put her on the toilet and then they'd just leave her. Forget about helping her eat anything. We visited every day and requested information. We were told blood work was good but when I actually asked to see it, she was dehydrating and that was blood taken two days earlier. I asked if maybe they'd consider hanging a bag since she stopped eating and given the numbers. I was told that "we won't hang a bag the first day they stop eating." Given the poor care, I asked if someone would keep a close watch on it as she was looking jaundice. Needless to say the next day (11/6/19 - eight days after admission!!) we and her doctor demanded she go to the ER. It took THREE hours for the ambulance to come and she was in the ER about 5 pm that day. She was terrible and not conscious. She had back ulcers, sores all over her bottom, was extremely dehydrated, and had thrush all down her throat and mouth. The hospital was so appalled they took pictures. After hours of hydration, medication to bring her blood pressure up and vancomycin, she began to look less jaundice and move her a feet a little. We got her settled into ICU for the night, but she did not make it to daylight. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Manorcare is clean. The care facility is spotless. They have respite care and my mom goes in every three months, so that gives me some rest. It is the best. I would recommend anybody put his/her family members there. They took a good amount of time with me when I called and had concerns about my mom. Their workers are the best. They're very friendly. As for their food, they give large portions, and it is a good quality. My mom eats well three times a day. However, the only thing is, to keep her there full-time is $8,900, and I can't afford that amount. If I could afford it, I would put my mom there as a full-time resident, but I can't afford it.

I'm not pleased with Manorcare Parma; it's not a good community in my opinion. My dad has not been cared for in the manner I would like for him to be. They need to hire people who care about the residents because everybody's just parked in a chair. There isn't interaction with the patients and no one talks to them. The aides are rude and would usually tell my dad to pee in his diaper instead of taking him to the restroom. It's just not good.

My sister was here for 10 days and we got her moved!! The staff were on their cell phones all the time and could not care less about the care. There were bedbugs found by my brother-in-law when he went to do her clothes!!!! Food was okay however but the bedbugs and aides who could not care any less made us leave!
