Very recently I had a family member in Brentwood Healthcare Center Inc. A family member spent about four weeks there. The staff was friendlier compared to everybody else. Physical therapy was at least adequate or better. The food was adequate. They had clean private rooms. There's flexibility with visitations. However, the problem was the frequency of the doctor rounding and the attention of the doctor. But I think that's a problem everywhere.

My mother was in Brentwood for 2 weeks for short term rehab and our take on the facility is not favorable. First let's talk about the food, I would rate it below average and selection limited. On the web site they say made to order meals. not true. The staff we found friendly but undertrained. We had a nurse place blood pressure cuff on backwards and confused with just taking blood pressure. The night shift seemed very bothered with my mother concerns or needs. However most of the staff was very nice and attentive. We felt rehab could have included more to push for quicker return to independence.

I did a tour of Brentwood Healthcare Center Inc. They have their own room; they don't have ones that are shared which is nice. I like the location. It's a good area, it's easy to get to, easy to see. The person that I spoke to was very informative, very nice, very professional. They have activities that they are involved in, like different nights they might have something different going on in the summer, outside and such, which is nice. One thing that I do know, but I'm not saying that others don't do it, they request that you have at least two years of self-pay. I know it varies with different places, but that one was two years of self-pay. Maybe we can work with certain things, but they would like two years. I'm not saying that you can't negotiate, but that is their policy there. It's a nice facility. The time I went in there, Covid was going on. I did ask if they have some short staffing, and they said yes. Now it's even worse, I'm sure. There were different things that they did. I like that they had their own room because sometimes you have to share a room in certain facilities. A lot of them, they're cheaper, but I think that one was $6400, I believe. I like that it was very centrally located for all of us, I like the area. It was very nice, very clean. The only thing was the two years. If your funds aren't there, then I could see a year, but for some people with two years, it's kind of touch and go. The staff was very, very formal. He had a degree in social work. He came from a family that had the mother run another place, so he knew what he was talking about. He kind of grew up with the background from his mom. So, he was very informative, very nicely dressed, very professional, took the time for any questions. I think I was there for about an hour.

My family member was in another facility close by and received terrible treatment. The staff were cocky and condescending. Needless to say we did not have high hopes for Brentwood. So far, we have been very pleased with the level of attention and care that our family member is receiving. The staff is attentive, though the family member is old and cranky, they seem to take it in stride and push on to help him. Thank you!

Brentwood has been great for my loved one. Over the time my father has been there I have noticed a great improvement in the quality of care. With the start of a new ADON the staff seems more aware, caring and knowledgable. The food is tasty and the facility is clean.

Over the last months I have seen a decline in the standard of care here for my family member. The aides are overworked and nursing staff is high turnover (top down issue). The owner does not seem to be concerned with morale of his staff. Nurses and the nursing supervisor have left leaving them with a huge lack of quality staff. communication between staff and patients is bad. Overall my rating has gone from good to less than acceptable.

Brentwood Healthcare Center was very clean. My husband got excellent care, they had nursing staff and physical therapists. He had a beautiful room, the bathroom had a shower and toilet. You could get in the wheelchair easily and it had a nice shower chair in the bath area. The food was excellent there and they had different activities too.
