Our dad spent time in both skilled nursing and assisted living following a surgery. The staff at the North Olmsted location took great care of him and our family. After having a very poor experience with a different company, I can confirm that some facilities are definitely better than others. Our dad is scheduled for another surgery and we know where we want him to receive rehabilitation services next time:: O’Neill Healthcare.

O'Neill Healthcare North Olmsted wasn't too bad. You could get a cup of coffee at night. Sometimes the food was cold, and sometimes the food tasted bad. But other than that, it was pretty good. It pretty much was better than a lot of them. I stayed there for about 2 weeks rehabbing because I had to get strength back in my legs. The rooms were fine, and everything was fine, except they sent me home so early. The people working there seemed to be OK. The management, I'm not too keen on them. Make sure you know exactly what you're getting into before you sign anything. Their meat products or chicken products were overcooked. The chicken was like rubber, you couldn't eat it. The vegetables were OK. The meatloaf wasn't too bad. You could do whatever activity they had going on that day. They gave you a calendar of events that goes on and you could do the ones you wanted.

My friend is now at O'Neill Healthcare Bay Village. She is in long-term care. The facilities are older and are very spread out. It's a little bit noisy. The staff are excellent though. They're very responsive and easy to talk to. The food is OK. However, my friend complains that there's not enough choice and they feed her too much. And I don't think the food is as good. There's a lot of fried and breaded food, which she doesn't like. The facilities are clean. The rooms are a decent size. The grounds are nice, but there aren't any places to walk or go sit outside. I think the assisted living people have activities, but the long-term care people don't even have a dining room. However, they're less expensive and they also take Medicaid, which makes a big difference.

My friend was at O'Neill Healthcare. The overall experience was very good. It was excellent. They have nice outdoor areas. They have lots of visual stimulation in the hallways. It's clean, and the rooms are comfortable. The facilities are very nice. They also have a nice outdoor area. The staff are excellent. They had a regular activity director who was coming in the memory care place, doing things every day and interacting with everybody. They have parties, different games, TVs, and intergenerational parties. The place is very clean. The dining area was nice. My friend was in assisted living there and she enjoyed going down to the dining room.

My dad is a resident of O'Neill Healthcare North Olmsted. So far, from the standpoint of someone whose dad is in a nursing home for the rest of his life now, the experience has been very, very well. The facility is clean and is in good repair. The staff are very professional, and they take good care of my dad. They meet all of his needs. I have no complaints. This is not a rich man's facility. There are nursing homes that charge almost twice as much, and they're a little more upscale. I haven't tried the food. I think it's probably my dad's opinion that's most important. My dad likes the food. The place is nothing fancy. It's certainly organized, and it meets all the patients' needs. Nursing homes are expensive. It's a lot of money, and I don't know if I'm getting my money's worth. However, I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I looked at several other facilities. I guess as far as for the money goes, you certainly seem to be getting a lot more for your money than some of these other facilities that are very much more expensive.

My wife is staying at O'Neill Healthcare, and they're very good. It's convenient to the hospital when she has to go back for appointments. The staff is very pleasant, very helpful, and they all know my name by now and greet me by name. My wife says the food is very good. They have a reading room, daily newspapers, and puzzles. Her unit is a bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom there, so they're all pretty spacious.

My mother was a resident of O'Neill Healthcare for a while in skilled nursing. I considered also the memory care unit there, which was larger than where she is now. She had excellent care in skilled nursing. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Everything about the memory care unit seemed positive. She had a private room. She had physical therapy and occupational therapy there. They had other activities like movies and ice cream socials, but she never got involved with them.

A friend of mine was able to stay in Wellington Place for a while. During my visit there, I found the staff very informative. They kept the rooms very clean and nice. They had activities, like crafts and bingo, for the residents. They didn't have a gym and a swimming pool, but they did have a chapel. I think they’re a pretty organized community. Overall, I think they were doing a pretty good job.

Wellington Place has beautiful décor and very nice and very helpful people but not as intimate. If my mother had a room, it would have been either the third or fourth floor. It felt a little big, but it was fabulous.

My sister is at Wellington Place. It is fantastic. I could not be more pleased. I would definitely recommend it to others. What I like best about it is the care.

My mom is currently at Wellington Place. She has been there for both rehab and assisted living since January. We put her in there temporarily, but it is not close to us. Everything is pretty good. My mom's only major complaint is that the food is terrible. Her room is good and she likes it. They have good health care and then they seem to have adequate staff. They could improve on the food. What they are doing is that they have about four or five facilities and they are preparing the food at one central facility and shipping it out, so they don't get a really good meal.

My husband was a patient at Wellington Place and was unable to get pain medication for his pancreatic cancer (stage 4). When I asked the nurse that I had asked earlier in the day about it, I was referred to the nurse at the front desk. She asked me why I was asking her and referred me back to the original nurse. By this time, I was in tears. He ended up back in the hospital a few hours later. A new pair of bedroom slippers were never returned with his belongings.
