So very disappointed in the care provided at this center. Mom selected this place as it was close to home and she was familiar with the location. From the very beginning I had my doubts. Intake paperwork took days to receive and complete. If I had not had someone from the family with my mom nearly 20 hours every day, I don't think she would have left there alive. A doctor who never met with my mom suggested we put her in hospice. Meds were not administered according to doctors orders. Bathing was not done until an outside doctor ordered it. Staff did not dress my mom, but expected us to do it. Happy to say my mom walked out of there after 2 months, but again that was because we were with her almost all day long and did physical therapy with her in her room. We also had to provide all equipment to prevent bed sores. Meals are FAR from heart friendly. The halls smelled of urine. Could not get information from the staff, even though I had provided a copy of moms healthcare power of attorney. Better options are close by....choose one of those.

My grandmother is a resident there, and she is quite a handful. We ended up having to hire an outside agency to come in 40-50 hours a week to sit with her. The nursing home actually called us and said "you need to hire someone else to come in on weekends because she's too much to handle." EXCUSE ME? We shouldn't even have to hire other people when we're paying a huge amount of money for my grandmother to be there as it is! Isn't it a nursing home's job to take care of the elderly? When one of my family members or the outside agency isn't there, she will sit in a soiled diaper for HOURS. When we address the issue, the assistant director actually said, "she drinks a lot of water so she pees a lot." Well why is the diaper 2 pounds and her pants are drenched and COLD. It's obvious that this didn't happen over the last 20 minutes, but rather over several hours.... They have been disrespectful towards us, and no human being should have to sit in a soiled diaper for hours. If it was a baby, social services would have taken it away... We're bringing her home as soon as we arrange care for her here.

I could tell you horror stories all day about this building. While my loved one was there I was reminded that it was business on almost a daily basis.. And there was no doubt from the food and care or lack of care the patients received. People were left with dirty diapers for hours. This business should be put out of business.

My mother was diagnosed with alzheimer's disease in early 2007. At that time, it was manageable. She moved into our home & we went about our daily lives as best we could. About a year later in 2008, mom started showing significant signs of dementia as well & the heartwrenching decision to place her in a care facility was made. We visited numerous facilities & the one that really stood out to us was Manor Care in North Olmsted, Ohio. The staff there really cares about the patients as if they're family members of their own. The facility is extremely organized, efficient, & provide excellent alzheimers care. They've really been a blessing to us. As my mom slips further into the disease, not only are they taking excellent care of her, the staff there has been a godsend to our family. We visit almost daily & it never ceases to amaze me how much they really do care. I'd recommend this facility to anyone in a similar position.
