I spent two weeks in the rehab unit for physical therapy after a major surgery I had. I cant say enough great things about this center. The nurses, staff, therapists, aides, food and everything else was phenomenal. The center and the rehad room were clean and spacious. Once I am healed from my surgery I will be volunteering at the center. Too many great people to thank to list them all.

Not a pleasant experience. The room was not cleaned very well during the entire stay. The social worker was rude and hard to communicate with as well as the director. Fortunately the nurses and therapists were good and helpful.

Sycamore Glen Health Center was OK. Mom didn't complain about the food, so I guess it was good. Mom had a very nice, private room. The therapy and care was good, and we didn't have any issues with that. The people were personable. The place was clean and sanitary.

MY WIFE WANDA HAS BEEN AT THE FACILITY SINCE JUNE 7, 2016 FOR REHAB AND THE CONTROL OF OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES. THE DOCTOR AND HIS NURSE PRACTIONERS ARE WONDERFUL ALONG WITH THE GREAT NURSING STAFF, THERAPISTS AND AIDES. THEY LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY TO MY CONCERNS AND THEIR COMMUNICATION WITH ME IS OUTSTANDING. SHE HAS MADE GREAT STRIDES ON HER ROAD TO RECOVERY BECAUSE OF THEIR EXCEPTIONAL TREATMENT, CARING AND UNDERSTANDING HER COMPLEX MEDICAL ISSUES. IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONE TO RECEIVE THE BEST OF CARE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SYCAMORE GLEN.

I was a resident of Sycamore Glen Rehab following knee surgery. While the physical therapy was very good, the medical portion was simply appalling. They only had one doctor on staff, and she did not respond to requests by the LPN's in a timely manner - if at all! I was there two weeks and saw her once. They also made a huge mistake in administering my medication. When they ran out of the pain medication, they never bothered to refill it. I was in great pain and going through withdrawals without a clue of what was happening. I was unaware that I was on a narcotic and thought I was losing my mind. Apparently the system did not account for lack of medication. Totally unacceptable for a health center. The facility is also woefully understaffed. I would turn on the nurses light and many times it would remain on for an hour. In addition, if I did get their attention and explained the problem, their reply was often "I'll be right back", then not return at all. Not the care you need when dealing with MERSA. Perhaps the problem lies in the fact they are a nursing home on one side and a rehab on the other. Both sides are poorly run. I would love to see this facility shut down. It is a health hazard.

The facility staff is terrible. Don't stay here. There are much better rehab and nursing home facilities. The staff here is not friendly and unconcerned about the patients there. My mother was there for about a month for rehab. They left her in the same clothes for 3-4 days though I complained several times. I went to the supervisor to complain and nothing was done. I washed her clothes and placed them on hangers in the closet. Two days later the clothes were still there. One day, I went there and some of her clothes were missing. They claimed the looked everywhere. They never found them. They did reimburse but only after I complained mightily. Don't put your relatives and loved ones here. On the positive side, the food is great but this is the only positive. I do not recommend Sycamore Glenn and my mother will never stay there again.

My mother has been in Sycamore Glen for 6 weeks now. I chose it because the care is a bit better. Everything is very nice, it’s kept very clean, and the floors are highly polished. The food is good, and she says she likes it there. They have various groups that play music and sing, they have games and other usual things. I’m glad I put her there. However, they’re a little understaffed on weekends although they still get things done.

I was at Sycamore Glen Health Center recuperating from an operation. It was very good in every way. They had good care, good therapy, good meals and activities. I had both physical and occupational therapy. It got me on my feet. They give good care. When you push the call button, you don't have to wait an hour.

My mom is at Sycamore Glen for about two to three months now. The staff are very friendly. My mom plays cards in the evening and does exercise in the morning. Every Saturday they have movie nights. They also have church services every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. They would also go to the park to have desserts. They do arts and crafts and she lives puzzles a lot. My mother loves the food. I also like the fact that they give her coupon every so often for people to eat with her. If she doesn't have a coupon, she has to pay $8 for a coupon and then you can eat what you want with that coupon. She is a diabetic but they do not have specific diabetic foods although they have fat-free foods. She is left to monitor herself to make sure that she eats what she is supposed to eat.

The facility is in very pretty wooded area and reminds me of an upscale hotel with lots of amenities. It is very clean and offers a huge dinning room and they have their own private chef. The food looked wonderfull! There is an activity schedule, so if you are staying there you will enjoy activities such as bingo, dancing workout room; game room; daily numerous other activities. Opportunities to go out shopping and eating out. Full laundry and cleaning service. The staff seemed very nice and knowledgeable. My friend had plenty of storage space in her room; with a walk in closet. There is a refrigerator and microwave in her room. With a dining area where she an relax and enjoy a snack or small meal prepared for herself. The staff is on call 24/7 if my friend should need any medical assistance. She was very happy with the new facility and loved the many choices in activities and the menu she had for numerous food choices. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a new assisted living facility for their family member or friend.

My mother was at Sycamore Glen Health Center following surgery at Sycamore Medical Center. The facility was wonderful, and would have a 5 star rating if it were not for the billing department (or whoever is responsible). So this review is 2 part. The facility took wonderful care of my mother. The main doctor in charge was a little odd and slow to act, but overall her 80 day stay there went well. I emphasize the 80 days. My mother is on Medicare, and they only cover 100 days of care, no exception. The staff at Sycamore Glen were not informed that she had been at another facility for 20 days and did not have the full 100 days. On day 81 a billing department employee came in requesting a check from her for $365 a day for at least the next 3 days. The staff was totally confused as their paperwork did not say this. So, my assumption is that Kettering Network Billing should have informed Sycamore Glen and they didn't. The second part of this review is to say that the staff of Sycamore Glen bent over backwards to get my mother moved out as quickly and as stress-free as possible. Their social worker, Julie, was especially wonderful though the whole process. All the nursing staff were attentive and helpful. And yes, even the food was pretty good. My thanks go out to all the staff at Sycamore Glen. I will not hesitate at all to place my mother there again if necessary.

Nice place inside and out but the staff was very impersonal, you get a bed, three trays, your meds and therpy. No commuication, welcome or loving care comes with the stay.
