My sister-in-law moved into Wedgewood Estates. She's very happy there and we feel that her needs are very well met. The grounds and the facility itself are very attractive. The layout is kind of like in quadrants. There's a sitting area with furniture, two counters and several chairs, and then the rooms open onto that. They have their own room and then they can gather into this sitting/living room area that's very homey. They can gather there to play games or puzzles or wait for a meal. They have people come in and give lectures. Someone comes in to play the piano. They have book reviews and bible studies. They have very adequate staff, and they have people who check on the residents every two hours. They come in to empty the wastebasket, to gather the laundry, and to check on your heat or your room temperature. They have reasons why they come in, so the residents don't feel like they're checking on them. The residents feel like they're coming in to give them a service.

We've seen both the assisted living and independent living of Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield. It was very nice and had a very nice atmosphere. It's the most expensive place that we looked at, and it has a lot of rules right now because of COVID. They haven't lifted restrictions, so they have limited visitation. I would have to see them again and talk to them again before I could take my mom there; the visiting hours are pretty strict now. They have a chapel. They have an ice cream parlor that is made up to look like the 60s. They talked about a lot of different activities that they do. I only met one lady, and she was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The meals are included in the rent. The rooms have little kitchenettes. You can get a 1-bedroom, a studio, or a 2-bedroom. That's for the assisted living. The ones in independent living are 2-bedrooms only. They don't have just a 1-bedroom. They all have a little kitchenette in them and a utility closet.

I liked Wedgewood Estates, and their price was the best. They seemed to care for the residents, and they'd do anything they can to help them. We chose one of the condos in the independent living. Their activities looked good.

Wedgewood Estates Garden were for independent living, which included a meal and where you live, in separate little cottages. It included weekly cleaning and one meal every day, although you could purchase additional meals, and, of course, the upkeep of the cottage itself is done for you; you don't have to go out and fix the roof or do anything yourself. Part of the package was that somebody would come in and clean the place once a week. They had washers and dryers, so you could do your own laundry. You could eat one meal a day at the Manor House with people in the assisted living, and that was included in the package, but if you wanted a second meal you would pay extra for it. They had little kitchenettes there, so you could have your own breakfast stuff and cook things yourself too.

The Manor House at Wedgewood Estates was quite nice. We saw the dining room, and they explained how the food service went. The dining room seemed spacious enough. For breakfast, they had quite a wide menu. I believe at other times there was usually a choice of entrée, and I think they signed up for which entrée they wanted a day ahead of time, which seemed like a good system. I thought the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious enough. It was clean and well-organized. They would do your laundry as well as clean the room and all that sort of thing. They had a calendar of activities that included some exercise classes every week and different things. Also, they would take people to appointments and to other excursions around town.

I've been to Wedgewood Estates, and the facility was very nice. It's an assisted living, and you can have your own little condo, or you can stay in a main house if you are incapacitated. It's a little bit of a higher quality facility. They have people who take you to the doctor if you need to go. The rooms are very well done.

Wedgewood Estates was a nice, big place. It had a Victorian style and it was comfortable. The staff was nice. Though the rooms were smaller, they were presentable. I would recommend it to others.

Wedgewood Estates of Mansfield was very nice but the price was way out of our league. I would recommend this facility if you had the money.
