My mother-in-law was at Divine Living of Madison for two and a half years and it was an excellent community. The owner works right there with everyone and each and every one of them treated the residents like their grandparents. They're excellent. The rooms were clean. They've got some that were Medicaid size and I think 4 out of 14 were larger. Most of them have a shared bathroom in the hall. My mother-in-law was very, very happy there. The staff made it feel like they're a family and therefore the residents act more like a family. They all ate together in the dining room and it's more like a large home as opposed to a facility. It didn't have a sterile atmosphere. When you walk into the place, it always smells good. For how many years that's been a home, you still don't smell anything other than whatever their dinner was cooking. I've looked at a lot of corners in that place and there was never any dirt. Even in odd little nooks and crannies where you would expect that you would miss some dust or something, it was just clean from top to bottom. They cooked everything from scratch and they had the safest and most healthy diet. It is owned by a nurse so they're a little more careful. They had an activities room, but I think they're more in tune with what the residents wanted, because it's a small community. Sometimes a few of them will play cards or once a week have a preacher come in. It's more of a Christian atmosphere. So, there were not a lot of activities, but the residents were perfectly happy. They talked with each other or read the newspapers in the dining room. They're not bored or anything.
