Hamilton Ohio. Called my mother 10 times for 3 days. I left about 15 messages with 6 people - no one called back. I was thinking about calling the police for a wellness check.

The environment is very clean. There are friendly faces everywhere and the staff clearly know the residents. You often see them greeting residents by name as they pass. My Dad really enjoyed chair volleyball and murder mystery dinner night. The heated indoor pool is a nice amenity, but Dad also really enjoyed all the nice outdoor spaces.

My family member/Westover resident reports that the food service has a new company and that the dining room food is terrible. The food used to be "OK" and now it is much worse. The menu does not clearly describe the meal, some entrees are so spicy they can't be eaten, many meals have no texture and little taste. Fresh fruit is served sparingly. Residents requested fresh watermelon and they were told it is too expensive. The residents pay good money for dining room meals. Many have health issues and need nutritious and tasty meals . Those who manage Westover need to address this matter immediately.

I didn't care for Westover. The people were not very helpful nor very friendly. The layout was fine, and the place was clean, but the personality of the staff seemed kind of snobby.

The staff of Westover Retirement Community was good. They were very informative and accommodating. They have workout areas and anything you want.

With an amazingly caring staff, gorgeous grounds, and ample living space, I was confident leaving my grandfather there to be well taken care of by a more than qualified staff. They worked with him on a daily basis to ensure that he was not only healthy, strong, and happy - but also not lonely. Him living at home just wasn't right with him getting "up there" in years, and both myself and the other family members wanted to make sure that he was still able to live on his own, without actually being alone. Amanda, one of the workers at Westover, created an instant bond with my grandfather and they became "best friends" if you will. Since moving him there, he's cheered up and became his self again. We were, naturally, worried at first because you hear all of the horror stories of nursing home abuse, but I can honestly say that these next few years with him being at Westover, will for sure be his actual Golden Years.
