My mother-in-law is now at CrossRoads at Beaver Creek. It is all in one floor, so she doesn't have to use an elevator and that's very nice. The halls are wide; the traffic is easy. Her room is very generous. She has her own bathroom with a seated shower. They have a nice dining room facility. Everything is relatively new. It opened not long ago. It is very nice. I'm very happy for my mother-in-law. It seems very good. I haven't heard of any complaints with the staff. They are very responsive. We are having problems with my mother-in-law falling. She took a fall in the bathroom and they immediately had her checked into a local hospital. They were very attentive. My mother-in-law gets her medication faithfully and she is eating three meals a day. She is actually gaining weight because she is eating regularly now. I think they're doing a great job. They have a lot of activities, but my mother-in-law doesn't necessarily participate. I wish that she would and maybe after she adjusts to the environment, she will be more inclined to try that. They have games and music. They have different activities going everyday. My mother-in-law has made friends so she has not been reclusive. However, she is not happy with the food. She doesn't like the fact that they don't season anything (according to her). Nevertheless, I think CrossRoads at Beaver Creek is a great value.

I had an in-person tour at CrossRoads at Beaver Creek. I like that it's assisted living and that it's an individual apartment-type facility with over 60 rooms that have a private bathrooms with a shower. The residents can bring their own furniture and decorations and make it more like their home; that was the biggest thing for me. It wasn't a hospital like feeling to it; it was more homey. There are three levels of care pricing. There is a doctor that comes once a week and a podiatrist that comes on site. The person who took me around was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very patient. She was not the administration person. She had to fill in the person that handles the tour, but she did a great job. The facility itself was amazing. They are going to do an addition starting next month and put in a courtyard. They have grassy areas. There is a safe seating area right at the entrance that's separated from the driveway. Residents sit there, but they will be putting in a courtyard.

CrossRoads was awesome. I wish we could've afforded it. It was all oak, very open, and airy with tons of windows. The common dining setup was wonderful, very light, and airy. They had solid oak, round tables that sit five people. They had shifts for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. There were individual rooms. If they want, they can bring their own furniture or have furniture supplied, and decorate however they want. There was a small kitchenette with a sink and a refrigerator in the rooms. They hang things on their doors. They have arts and crafts, ice cream socials, bingo, and a theater room for their movie nights. I met several of the residents and everybody was out and interacting and seemed to be smiling a lot. I met some of the staff who were very gracious and very polite. The lady introduced us to everybody we ran into. They were very friendly.

My grandma was at first very hesitant to go to an assisted living facility, especially after my grandpa passed. It was after she had to have her dog put down that she finally made the decision to move to Crossroads at Beaver Creek. We helped her do some research on the facility and she decided that she thought the rooms looked really nice. After she moved in, she began to love living at Crossroads! There are a lot of other people that she knew and for the first time in 6 years, she is really socializing like she used too before her health declined. Every time I go to visit her, she has people stopping by to say hi or some kind of activity to go to. The staff are really great with her too and have really made an effort to get to know the whole family.

The aids where mostly all very friendly and helped as much as they could. The facility was clean and very new but, my Aunt complained that more often than not they did not have a nurse in the building during the night shift. They also appeared to be taking in residents that were not exactly "assisted living" qualified. In my state I know that there are cna's and stna's and I personally saw a lot of cna's doing things that required an stna. The facility has good intentions but did not have my confidence. All in all I would say the quality of the facility is top notch, but the quality of the care is far from it. My family eventually moved my Aunt out of the facility and found a much better place for her.
