I had to come here for rehab after foot surgery. I was totally impressed with the therapy staff. All had my well being first. The nurses and aids are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend The arbors of Delaware. I do feel like the cleaning staff could do a better job.

Rooms are outdated. Smells of uring. Has a bug light plugged into wall. You can't reach your light switch. My mom arrived with the hospital sending meds and info at noon. She was told my nursing they didn't have her meds and there was a doc on site. Then said no doc on site and "found" and antibiotic for her. Used old fringed BP cuff for vitals. At 12:30 am she was told by a large male nurse she needed a skin check. Then told her does he need to spell it out for her "take off all your clothes." No chaperone offered for check. I would not take my loved there if I were you. She stayed 7 hrs before we took her out. at 2am.

The rooms are cold, the staff incompetent, turn on a call light to get a nursing aide and wait for over an hour for them to decide to leave the breakroom. More often than not found the staff lounging rather than doing their job. The place smells like feces. At one point a nurse couldn't remember is she had given my father meds and had to ask my husband if she had been in there. And the way the staff spoke about the patients on hospice was appalling saying, "They're just going to die anyways". My Father, a Vietnam Veteran, was there. Within two weeks of being there he came down with pneumonia because they weren't sitting him up for meals and he got food into his lungs. They didn't feel like dealing with him, so they started keeping him dosed on Morphine around the clock. And evening after giving him too much morphine convinced our family that this was it, he was going to pass away there were just hours left. Was so convincing we had his last rights performed. The next day after not having been drugged he was awake and very much not dying. Horrible place please don't ever send a loved one here.

Arbors at Delaware were short-handed to start with. I talked to a couple of people that have been there, and they actually recommended that we don't go there. The building itself was OK. It did smell like a hospital. There weren't many amenities. I think it was basically more for the final stages of life. So, I don't think there was much there. They had some physical therapy and a dining room, but most people eat in their rooms.

"Hellhole" is too fine a word. Clinical care often incompetent and neglectful; staffing inadequate; leadership bizarre and abusive. My loved one developed advanced bedsores and had multiple incidents of neglect induced medical events. The nights in this place are very different from the days, when contracted therapists elevate the care a bit.

My sister is a resident of the Arbors, and she's doing well. They have enough activities, and I see a lot of people doing them. Her room is shared, a nice size, and clean. She's by a window. The food is good. They have some nice meals, and she can choose something different if she doesn't like it.

I have been in this facility for over three weeks. The time I have been in here has been subpar. Ask for medicines and have been told no. Service is far below acceptable. You hit the call light button for a nurse and its between 15-30 sometimes 45 minutes before anyone responds. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Arbor's is a wonderful facility dedicated to taking caring of the residents. When I would visit the facility I always saw everyone in a positive mood. They take great care of the residents and always put the residents first. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking.

Do not take your loved ones here! My grandmother had to be taken to this place after a surgery in june. She didn't even make it 12 hours before we pulled her out. This place smells like death and dirty diapers when you walk in the door. Rooms are dirty and dusty. My grandmother was placed in a room and never checked on again up until they found out that we were taking her out of there. She was left all night and had to pretty much crawl to the rest room. And because we chose to take her out against medical advice they kept her medications(including pain pills) and discharge papers from the hospital that had her surgeon's number on it for us to call and schedule her follow up appointment all because they said that was their policy. Horrible place. If you love them don't ever go near this place. I'm only giving this a star because i'm required if it was my own choice i said -10 stars
