My sister had been ill and her dementia had worsened. We had secured an apartment at Maplewood but feared that she was too weak to be transferred there. I called Maplewood’s Director of Admissions to tell her of the situation. She informed me that she would handle everything. Two days later, my sister was transferred to Maplewood Cuyahoga Falls. The nursing staff just enveloped her. Kate, Director of Nursing helped us coordinate her care and nurses, Hallie and Megan were attentive, kind and supportive, as were the many aides that were assigned to her overtime. She was up and dressed every day. She was taken to activities and meals. I (or another sister) was there daily. We saw the kindness and compassion that was shown to everyone who lived there by ALL the staff. That thoughtfulness was also shown to us. My sister was blessed to live there for the last three weeks of her life. Thanks to Maplewood, she had a dignified and peaceful death. Our family was treated with extreme kindness, care and love. If looking for a care facility, look no further. The facility itself is beautiful. The rooms are large and cheerful, the food delicious and staff knowledgeable and supportive. I am grateful for Maplewood and recommend this affordable option for all memory care individuals. Maplewood staff was a blessing to our family. May God bless them in their work.

I had the privilege to have a long relationship with Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. my Stepmother was diagnosed with Early onset Alzheimer's. in 2018 my stepmother was very difficult to manage due to anger issues stemming from dementia which made her hard to place in memory care. Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls was a blessing! In 2018 through 2023 I worked 7 days a week I was always confident that my stepmother was properly cared for. Communication was excellent during the 5 year stay! What I observed during my stepmothers stay is that Staff develop true connections to clients. Staff showed deep remorse after her passing in November 2023. I would not hesitate to make Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls my choice again. Traditions hospice care was a great choice as well I was called by traditions hospice every week with an update

I recently visited a friend of our family at your Assisted Living and wish to report that my visit was so much more than I expected it to be. I was greeted at the front entrance, the ambiance and smell were inviting, the building was elegant and clean, staff were friendly and seemed to really take ownership in their responsibilities. My friend Mark is content and even takes on a daily role of delivering the mail newspapers to all of the people there. I was invited to join him for lunch and even join into the Men's Group that was wrapping up as I arrived. When home is no longer a safe option, it's nice to see that there are great local accommodations to help carry on and enrich the lives of our seniors. Thank You for a pleasant experience.

Mom’s biggest issue is confusion. Her main goal is to go home and be with her parents. She was extremely unhappy in her own home. Once we moved her to Maplewood she became more content and developed friendships. She still wants to go home but she doesn’t mind waiting at Maplewood. It’s an easy place to live, everything is ideally laid out. There’s plenty of safe outdoor space and room for indoor walks. She likes eating in the restaurant and enjoys the games they play. The staff is top notch!! Mom loves kidding around with the “girls” that work there.

My father had dementia and needed a memory care facility to keep him safe from wandering. After visiting a few facilities, we chose Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. I honestly feel you cannot find a better facility or better staff than Maplewood. Every single person who works there truly is the most loving, caring, patient, dedicated, professional staff member. They are all very special people! It seemed like they were all "experts" in dealing with someone with dementia. We felt they all truly loved our dad as if he was their own family member. The entire facility is very clean and the rooms for residents are very spacious. Dad was able to have many of his own furnishings in his room which made him comfortable. Communication with family is a big priority and they do it very well! We were always well informed and were welcome to call anytime to find out how things were going with dad. Monthly newsletters are sent to families along with a monthly calendar of activities. Though dad didn't participate much in the activities in the facility ,there is a wonderful variety of activities each day residents are encouraged to try. Dad loved the food, especially dessert and the daily menu is amazing! There is an app you can get on your phone so you can see the daily menu, activities and some photos. I would highly recommend Maplewood as a place where families will know their loved one is in a safe environment and is getting exceptional care!

Both my parents, in their 90's, were at Maplewood during covid, a very challenging time. We felt that the facility and staff were the best in the region, and they proved it every day. Because of mandated restrictions at times, it was challenging for the staff, but they tirelessly pressed on and made my parents stay the best it could be.

My grandmother did a respite stay at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. I liked their approach. My grandmother was in a hospital setting with COVID. We reached out and we wanted to get her respite care (mainly from a therapy rehab perspective) and they worked with us in tandem. She was hospitalized almost 50 miles from the facility. I had family in that area, so I opted to bring her there for a short stay. They made a very easy transition. They kept in constant communication with our family and she had a very positive outcome. She got therapy one-on-one. She came in the door in a wheelchair, and she was walking within just a few days with assistance, but is in much bigger, better spirits, eating good meals and getting her medication in a timely manner. She was there for just a little over 30 days and she was able to go back home successfully with the therapy and the good care that she received. From the time that we walked in, there was a welcome sign greeting her at the door. The leadership team was all very friendly and very knowledgeable. They all played a different factor in her stay. The facility was very clean. The food was good. She had a good opportunity to try some different meals she's not necessarily had in the past or something she had received every day. It's a good variety and fresh. It was just a good experience. We have no complaints. Each and everyone of the staff played a critical role in her outcome and I can't speak any higher regards. They were fabulous. She'd never had a filet mignon and she was offered that as an option on a Wednesday evening there, so in her eyes, it would be five-star. We have zero complaints. The facility was very clean and very detailed. Housekeeping was done every day to launder anything that needed taken to the laundry, trash was pulled every day, any dirty dishes or anything, they took care of those right away. What I liked about that was they actually asked us as a family to complete a booklet called Staying Connected, and it helped us kind of prompt our memory and identify hobbies that she once enjoyed as a much younger individual through adulthood and things that she's still doing today. It prompted a lot of good memories. They were invested in her. They wanted to know how they can make her stay more desirable and they did. We were pleased with the pricing and we were able to use some of her long-term care insurance benefits as well. We had talked to some of the other families that were there when we were looking around and they had good things to say and the residents seemed genuinely happy.

Although my relatives were at Maplewood during the worst part of the Covid epidemic, the staff did the best they could to keep the residents motivated and secure. I appreciated all that was done for my relatives during the very difficult and uncertain time and I highly recommend this facility.

My mother-in-law spent a month at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls in order to regain her strength after an arduous illness that left her extremely weak, unable to live alone and care for herself. The care and attention she received at Maplewood from a dedicated team of employees that worked together (physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, aides, dietary staff, etc.) helped her fully regain her strength and basically brought her back to life!! She especially loved the food and constant attention she received from the friendly staff members. She did not want to leave when it was time for her to return to her home!! Maplewood is a clean, safe, well-run, home-away-from home. I would highly recommend Maplewood as a place where families will know their loved one is getting exceptional care in a safe environment that feels like home.

It can be very difficult to make the decision to bring a loved one into any assisted living facility. But Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls made that transition for our loved one seamless. From the start we knew we had made the right choice. We have always felt comfortable knowing that they are in good hands with such a caring, compassionate, and attentive staff.

My aunt just recently passed away on hospice services at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. When hospice was not present, especially in the evening hours when I was able to visit- the nurses and caregivers were always so attentive to myself and my aunt. I didn’t get the opportunity to visit as much as I wish I could have, but each time I was there a few staff members would peek their head in and make sure she was ok and had everything she needed. It made me feel so comforted when I wasn’t able to be there, since I knew she was cared for. The DON Kate a few times made sure she stopped in (especially in her last few days) to make sure we had all we needed and that she was comfortable and had what she needed. I wouldn’t hesitate referring anyone to Maplewood for their loved one if they were looking for somewhere.

When it became necessary to put our mother into an assisted living facility, post-hospital stay, the reputation of Maplewood and its quality care eased the burden of our decision. The campus is beautifully furnished inside and out. The staff is highly qualified, compassionate and patient. Mother received excellent physical and occupational therapy. She especially enjoyed the nutritious, upscale dining. Mom's mood and mental health were lifted and refreshed with the many social activities and opportunities to engage with staff and residents. At a time when her family was concerned about her physical health, mental health and prospects for the future, Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls provided our mother, and her family, with a new, energized outlook on the future.

My husband was recently diagnosed with dementia at the age of 64. It seemed to come on pretty quick. Being so young we were devastated and did not know what to do. It was highly recommended that my husband live in assisted living for his safety as he needed 24 hour care. Of course, I was apprehensive but from the second I walked into Maplewood, Cuyahoga Falls, I was greeted with a special kind of TLC that I never felt at any other facility. The staff seemed to know me as soon as I walked through the door. They listened intently as tears rolled down my face. The move in was seamless. The staff did everything. All of the staff at Cuyahoga Falls always goes above and beyond the call of duty. From the receptionists (always on duty), to all the maintenance department, Aides, STNA’s, RN’s, all administration and Director. I just can’t say enough about this team as they all set the bar so high that other facilities seem to fall short. My husband developed relationships with the staff and residents even though he made every effort to stay isolated. The staff always keeps the line of communication open, keeps me informed and responds promptly to any questions or concerns. The facility itself is beautiful and very modern with plenty of space for residents. The rooms are private, very clean and fresh with beautiful views to the outside. Maplewood also has plenty of activities to keep residents engaged and minds active. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of senior living care.

My mother-in-law is in Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. She won't be there for a long time. She's just on respite, so she should be coming home in a few weeks. They've been very kind to her. It's a beautiful facility, and they've kept us up-to-date with everything that's going on, which I really appreciate. They had activities, but they just had a COVID outbreak so they're still doing them but from their rooms, and just not as many. The food was beautiful. I've seen it, but she can't really tell us how it is because she has Alzheimer's so she can't remember them. It's a beautiful facility, and it's super clean.

We visited Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. They had a very nice respite program that we might do. It's a new place, so it's very clean and lovely. The staff was very accommodating. In the dining area, there were four at a table. It was spread out for Covid, but it was fine. They had a barbershop, a beauty shop, and you can drink coffee all day. It's very nice, but with this Covid, everything is restricted.

Maplewood, Mom’s home. Mom had Alzheimer’s so it was just a matter of time before she would need more help than we (my sister and I) could provide. So we began our search. Four places in the local area met our criteria, but Maplewood showed us a whole nother level of living for Mom. From our first, emotional visit, we were assured and supported and helped along the way. The admission process was seamless. We were able to move Mom’s personal, important things into her apartment and get it set up just right. I stayed with her that first night and for the next almost-three years enjoyed hanging out at Mom’s place. My sister, being local, visited almost daily, and I, driving in from Dayton enjoyed many weekends at Maplewood. Attention to each resident's specific needs and safety, unique as individuals, as well as in their care are always a priority. Enrichment activities abound! The residents feel a sense of purpose, make friends, laugh, sing, dance, travel locally and experience the joys of living to the best of their abilities. Mom was very particular about her appearance, her nickname, “Hollywood” confirms this. So, the beauty parlor was very important to her, as was being well dressed, including pearls and her purse. The staff facilitated this, as things changed, and she was always proud of the way she looked. Communication was paramount, and we always felt involved and informed in the best of times and the worst of times. When we made the transition between Tides and Currents it was seamless and caring and perfect. All of her needs, as she declined, were lovingly taken care of; and when the time came for Mom to leave us, we were supported in such indescribably heartfelt ways. From our first visit we knew Maplewood was a special place. We knew the staff was trained and valued, but more importantly, serving with passion. We knew the residents were loved, cared for, and special, but more importantly, they are really wonderful people. When folks ask us about Maplewood we can't stop talking. We rave about everything and everyone; from the facility to the staff to the amenities to the philosophy to the activities and the food. Everyone, truly every staff member stands out as amazing models of caring, professional, dedicated, going-beyond-the-call-of-duty, passion-driven caregivers; and their dedication is palpable in everything they do. When looking for the best place in a difficult time, Maplewood stands out as an oasis of love and care. Truly a home for Mom.

I toured this community recently for my mother and found the community to be clean, welcoming and after my tour - they even gave me a fresh pie prepared by the Chef - what a surprise. My mother has advanced dementia and needs a secure community and Maplewood has all of things I was looking for. Their residents appear clean, well cared for and pleasantly happy. The place smells good and was well staffed. I'm working with my attorney to gain guardianship so we can make the transition from home to Maplewood smooth.

An ad in the paper brought me to Maplewood for a seminar on Dementia. I was impressed by the well designed, lovely, yet professional air of the place. The bedrooms were large and private. The dining room, with linens and china, was very inviting, and with a personal chef, It was clear that this was the place for Dad. It made him feel special every day. After investigated five other communities, I felt Maplewood surpassed them by far. Dad lived here for 10 months before passing. He was kept clean, well dressed, and lovingly cared for. The staff is expertly trained in dealing with dementia. The aides are patient and very perceptive when a situation seems eminent. At my home Dad barely had any interaction. Yet Dad was highly stimulated here. He enjoyed the exercise, games, entertainment, and outings with the other residents. We would take him out for lunch, or occasionally bring dinner and enjoy a private party in the "Family" dining room. There were also times we enjoyed a movie in the theater room with him. I never had to worry about Dad while he was here. Thank you for the love you all gave him and for making his last days so special. This is a place where I would want to live.

I visit my sister who lives in the Currents neighborhood. She was at a different memory care and was so unhappy. It was just a hallway. Here she can wander throughout the community and not get upset because it is just a few feet to walk. I love to watch the staff when I'm there and see how they interact with the patients. They give such love to everyone and keep them busy. I love to eat lunch with me sister because it always tastes delicious. Everyone I meet is so warm and welcoming that I no longer dread going to see my sister. I have informed my children that if I ever need assisted living or memory care, I want to go here! Thank you for taking such care of my sister!

We had to make an emergency placement for my dad after a fall in April 2017. We were so lucky to find Maplewood of Cuyahoga Falls. The staff at Maplewood, from the director to the maintenance staff, are wonderful. They treated my dad like he was a member of their own family and they were so supportive of all of us. The facility is beautiful, clean, and well designed. It allows for residents to move around the unit freely and safely. There are a variety of activities that residents can choose to participate in on a daily basis. But most important is the care they gave to my father. He was clean, well dressed, and loved each day. When he saw the faces of his favorite staff members his face would light up. Maplewood made the last 17 months of my dad's life as fulfilling as possible given his declining mental and physical status due to Alzheimer's Disease. Thank you for everything Maplewood. We will forever be grateful to you.

The staff at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls have been great. We had one meeting with the staff to go over the care plan for my mother, which we appreciated, and they're very receptive to her suggestions and concerns. The facility is extremely nice and the room is adequate for her needs currently. It's well-maintained and they come in on a regular basis to take care of her laundry and all the other things she needs help with, so we can't complain at all. She gets her medications as needed and they help monitor her oxygen. Some of the staff is more receptive to helping people than others. All of them seem to be very adept at their jobs, but some are just more personable in dealing with patients. It's one of the nicer facilities I have ever visited, and my mom seems to enjoy the food. She's offered various items at each meal, so that's much appreciated. They have lots of activities.

Mom chose Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls because the number of residents was just right. The people are all super friendly and everybody talks to you, whether they're a resident or not. Mom said that as soon as she walked in the front door, it felt right.

Maplewood was beautiful, and I really liked the lady I talked to. She helped me, she answered any questions, and she gave me a nice tour of the place. She was extremely responsive and worked with me to try and make everything easy and figure out how to do it. She showed me the studio apartments, and they serve three meals.
