This review is more about an individual than the facility as a whole. My mom has been in the Willowood facility going on 10 years now. I live out of state. Mom is essentially deaf at this point so phone conversations are more frustrating than fulfilling. Luckily, Jeannine has gone out of her way to make sure I connected with my mom. She sends videos, pictures and relays messages. She helped coordinate trips out with my mom when I am in town. Jeannine is essentially the lifeline between my Mom and me. Keeping the relationship alive as much as possible. Without Jeannine's help it would feel like my Mom is out of my life at this point. Instead I get to see pictures, videos and so much more that keeps the relationship as much as it possibly can. I am forever grateful.

I recently had a family member there after being placed elsewhere. I wish that I would have chosen this place first for my mom however I picked a building that looked great on the inside but care showed for that. This place is all around great from the nursing staff to the therapy team, dietary, wound team and social work. Building is dated however this shows no reflection on the care they provide. Everyday I was greeted with a smile from everyone I came into contact with. The nursing staff is great always calling and communicating any changes. They answered all call lights within reason, meals was provided in room or offered two dinner dining options. Activities was amazing they offered outings, and something for everyone from BINGO to happy hour these activities was also offered on the weekend. They have a beauty shop within the facility, also offer in house medical services. If ever looking for a place for a loved one this is the place!!

My fiance is here for therapy. He waited 2 hours with his light on to get his meds. He was begging to get up in a chair because his bed is uncomfortable. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place. Also his feet are swollen and he is still waiting for his compression socks for over 5 days. They come up with a lot of excuses for not doing certain things.

My mother moved into CareCore at Willowood. This is where she requested to go. Everybody has been wonderful. It's just the place that needs to be updated. She loves the food, except they give her scrambled eggs every day, and she doesn't want to see scrambled eggs ever again. From what I can tell, they have common areas where you can sit and visit, and they have an activity room. They have a little dining area, like a cafeteria. They have therapy. It's clean, it's just everything is like from the 1980s. I've been very impressed with it.

My sister is recovering from head surgery, and she is fine where she is at right now. She is getting the skilled nursing that she needs, and she is at Willowood Care Center. The staff is great. They are doing a wonderful job with her. It is older, so it is not as beautiful as the other place, but she has everything she needs, so I'm not complaining. She has memory issues, so she is not even sure what she is eating, but she is gaining quite a few pounds. The location is very nice. They do a lot with their residents, so they keep them busy. They have some good activities. They have bingo, ice-cream socials, a movie day, and a beauty day.

Some workers are nice others are rough with your family member. On top of that, the member living there has no phone. Most phones do not get charged up so the patient can call out to family. AND you will ring the phone off the hook after 7 pm if you think anyone there is going to answer to get your patient help or let you talk to your family. Not at this facility!! I suggest you talk to the families yourselves. They don't get her out of bed to move her around, and there are no activities.

Willowood Care Center Of Brunswick is outstanding. It's rated one of the best nursing facilities in the State of Ohio. It's very clean and the customer service is great. Everything is top-shelf. The staff is excellent. Of all the places we looked at, they were head and shoulders above and beyond everybody else. They give quick care, they're quick to respond, and they do a really good job. He plays Uno, he plays bingo sometimes, they have a hand-eye coordination game, and he does things where he can walk around in his wheelchair. He runs all over the place in the hallways and he has a beeper on his chair. If he starts to get up, it beeps, so somebody will catch him before he falls. He sleeps through the night and he looks better than he did five years ago. They have good quality food. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. It's a nursing care facility, but it doesn't feel like a hospital. If I were to put myself in a place, this is where I would go.

Visited this facility while looking for options for my grandma. This was the only facility I had been to that was clean, friendly, and did not smell at all. As I toured the facility every staff member was smiling. Definitely a place a would recommend.

I moved my mom from another facility to Willowood in September 2016. Better food, friendly, caring staff, the facility makes it easy for folks to get outside, very clean I could go on and on and on. Even the guy who works for the service that provides rides for the residents noticed a big difference in my mom. More alert, happier, occupied during the day, etc. My only regret is that I didn't move her sooner.

My father was at Willowood. The people there were very caring. The facility was a little dated, but the location was perfect for us because it was close to my mom. They were very nice. They even allowed us to hold a Christmas party there with 30 people from our family. I would recommend this facility. He went there for rehab. They had multiple levels of care there. The physical therapy there was good.

They had private rooms that were reasonably priced. They had different sets of menus for meal selection. The therapy department was there seven days a week and work with them seven days a week also. Room choices and services were better.

Honestly u should be embarrassed! My grandpa stayed for 2weeks in willowood and he worst than he was 2 weeks ago!before he came he could walk and normal things. We real eased him today and he is so weak, worse than before he can't even stand and 2 weeks ago he could walk and stand without any assistance! Also the service is slow,my loved one needed 2 use the restroom he was ringing and ringing the bell and there was a nurse just standing in the hallway eating a lollipop and talking with friends.I think that's bad.I'm not sending any of my family here.
