What I liked least about The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center was the food. My loved one was a vegetarian, but they served peanut butter and jelly every single day. She was there for rehabilitation. I was not impressed with the staff. The most attention she got was when they tried to keep her there when she could go home. They were trying to persuade the family she needed to be there longer. With regards to food, every single day, we had to bring in food. Their food was not good. The value for money was poor.

Being left wet for an hour and a half or longer having bad bed sores. Admin and staff aware of complaints, nothing done. Bed sores getting worse and infected ending up back in hospital.

The worst place to take your loved ones, it's filthy and they could careless about your loved ones and just let them be malnourished and dehydrated and you have to ask them to do something. Definitely do not recommend!!!

We have used the skilled nursing facility at the Heights multiple times when my father-in-law was recovering after a hospital stay with no issues, pre-COVID. Amazing what happens when you can’t visit due to Covid and they are no longer held accountable. My father-in-law came home after 5 weeks with untreated open wounds on his leg. His legs were fine before he came there. The Heights lost all his clothes and his razor. They have no knowledge of anything. The Heights never returned a call in the 5 weeks he was there. They refuse to return calls now, nor will they reimburse us for all the items they lost. Extremely disappointed that the only reason they had good care pre-covid is because we could watch them. What they are doing now is unethical.

My mom was there for 5 yrs. before I moved her. I walked in one day to see her and she was eating lunch with depends on that were soaked in urine. I was horrified and upset. When I asked why she hadn't been changed, I got no response. The aids were lazy. My mom always had U.T.I's. I know why now. This place smelled like urine all the time. I finally moved her out to a nice facility in Westlake, Ohio. Please, if you have a loved one, don't let them reside here.

The smell of urine permeates the hallway, very strong and made the visit unbearable. Not too mention the resident that wet herself sitting next to us. She was taken to the hallway to sit in another chair, both chairs are upholestered and therefore never cleaned from the urine while we were there. Guess we know now that we cannot sit in any of the chairs when we visit. The staff gives you that attitude like "its just a job" and I feel a sense of empathy lacking in this place.

My grandmother was put into a nursing home due to a recent stroke she had. My father and I visited several nursing homes but this one was something special. The nurses there are very attentive to all the residents there, and I couldn't believe how much they cared about everyone there! It melted my heart. They have functions that they try to get all the residents involved in, and even let my little sister bring in her pet bunny rabbit to visit my grandmother. Every time we go visit, we are greeted with smiles and warmth. It makes it easier to have my grandmother there. They hung up pictures for my grandmother in her room and even arranged some of her knick knacks for her so her room is more comfortable to her and more home-y. I give top ratings for this facility!
