Our experience with Missouri Slope has been excellent so far. The facility itself was in excellent shape, it's very well maintained. The staff is exceptionally happy, they're just happy to work with any of the tenants that live in the facility and they're happy to help any visitors. They're just super friendly, very outgoing, and personable people. They have an exercise facility in there, they have activity rooms, they have morning devotions every morning and they have an excellent dining facility and great food. They have an onsite beautician and barber there that cuts hair for the men and the ladies, library, and they have everything. The room that my parents are in is excellent, they chose a 1-bedroom option but it's big. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday in the morning they do the upper body exercises and on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 2:00 in the afternoon, they do their lower body exercises. They keep these people busy. For assisted living, good Lord, I think they do excellent.

Valley View Heights is fine, and they provide what my relative needs. The way it's laid out, they can do a lot of walking and visiting, there's a craft room, bingo, there's a church in the community, and a pool table. There's also the nurse on-site, which is helpful, so they have everything you need plus meals. It's not fancy, but it's good and laid-back. Things are there when you need them. They also provide laundry services.

Very impressed with how the assistants interact with the residents and manage to let them have freedom to chose how they approach the ADLs. The residents are approached with dignity and are shown respect when they are being interacted with.
