My mother moved into Hay Creek Lodge. They have a lot of group activities, which is nice. My mom likes the socialization. She has two bedrooms. It's more like an apartment setting, so you can have more of the things that you like. The facility is very bright and pretty. They have a bus that you can use to go to appointments and things like that. They have a salon. The staff members are very nice. I would like more specific food for my mom, but the food is nice. The dining area is very pretty and nice. They could improve their accommodations for food preferences. They have chair weightlifting exercises and coffee and tea time. They celebrate birthdays every month.

Hay Creek Lodge is beautiful. I liked it. We had a very good tour from Cody. He gave us the best tour that we could have ever had. He took us into the room where we were going to go, and the rooms are big because they are apartments. You have everything you'd want in that apartment. You bring your own furniture, your beds, and stuff. You get one meal with this program free and the rest, you can eat there if you want to. You have to pay extra for the other meals, but you have such a nice kitchen to cook with. The bathroom is so nice, too. It's got bars to hang on to. It's wonderful. There's so much room you've got there. They have big closets. You can use the washers and dryers. If you have a car, they have underground parking and outside parking and that's $75 extra a month. The people were wonderful. I have never seen such friendly people in a place like that. They even came up to us, shook our hands, and welcomed us there. The kitchen people came out and welcomed us. They have a calendar and they have something to do every day and it's different things. They have an assistant director and he drives the people in a bus. That night, they had an outside concert over in Mandan and the people signed up for it. He drove them over and it was free. They have certain days that he takes them to shop and brings them back, and that's free. They were outstanding people. They said, "We hope you could come and be a resident."

We went to both independent and assisted living at Hay Creek Lodge because the apartment could go either way. Cody was awesome and worked with us, and everything was really nice. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in it because they didn't take Medicaid. The place looked great. The people were friendly. Everybody greeted you as you walked by, staff and residents alike. They seemed very clean. We didn't go in any of the restrooms. The room that we looked at was very clean. The building seemed very nice. I think it's newer, so it should be. I didn't notice anything wrong with it when I was there.

My tour at Hay Creek Lodge went well. It was good. The apartment had a kitchen in it with a refrigerator and a stove. It's not furnished yet, so you bring your own furniture. They had some little outdoor spaces like a deck with chairs. The woman that did the tour was great.

I like that Hay Creek Lodge was on the smaller side and more homey. The only staff member I met was Nicole, and she was very nice and helpful. We also have some relatives that have just moved in there, and they're very pleased with the food and everything. We weren't there very long, so I didn't see any activity. I saw the dining area and it looked really nice, but nobody was eating at that time. We didn't really get a tour. We were walking in with our relatives, and then I talked to Nicole a couple of times. The apartment was really big. I was surprised how big, nice, and new it was. They had new carpeting and appliances. Everything was kind of new. I liked it. My relatives there are my son's in-laws.

Hay Creek Lodge was very nice, very well kept, and clean. The dining room was nice and seemed to be a warm place, seeing other people visiting as well as sharing a meal. When I walked in the door, there was someone right there to accommodate me. The manager had me come into the office and we talked for a bit and then she showed me a couple of apartments in the complex. They were remodeling and doing some things to a few of the open apartments. What I saw was very nice and very well kept, and the people that we talked to along the way were responsive, were walking, and getting their mail, and they seemed to enjoy being there. They have a craft room where they do a lot of different things. It's mostly a private pay place and people are on fixed incomes and it's not always affordable.

Hay Creek Lodge was very nice. The staff was very pleasant. The furnished rooms were beautiful. They had a pool table, a puzzle room, crafts, and a church. The dining area was very open, nice, and formal. It didn't look like they had a lot of tables. If you have to take an elevator and find your way around with somebody like my mother's shape, it won't work.
