Living quarters are spacious. Very quiet on all the floors. Staff is great and well-liked by everyone. Food is improving with new chefs and assistants. Other accommodations are wonderful: full gym, exercise classes, movie theater, garden room, courtyard with nice chairs, and Bayada (PT/OT) on site. LifeSource medical professionals make visits to residents' apartment. Also, can order blood draws take in the apartment - no need to travel. Portable X-ray can be ordered. Many other amenities. Lots and activities managed lead by dedicated staff.

Waltonwood Lake Boone is a lovely place, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The apartments are gorgeous and new with 10 foot ceilings. My mother’s independent living apartment looks out over a courtyard with beautiful landscaping. The staff is attentive, patient and kind. My mother is pleased with the food and tells me she is glad she made this decision - one she had been adamantly opposed to for years. The location inside the beltline of Raleigh is great. She has been there almost four months now and is happy with her decision. They provide many activities for the residents . From a high school band that played outside for them on a football Saturday morning (that left my mom in happy tears of good memories of going to games so many years ), to an art show she participated in with other residents who showed off their art while they sipped champagne. My mom showed some of her needlepoint through the years. There are regular performers who visit and trips out if you would like. They also do a lot to recognize holidays, including lovely decorations throughout. They have a movie theater, nail and hair salon and exercise room.

This facility is very nice !!! I love my apartment!! When my wife was here with me we had a two-bedroom appt. that we loved. I had to move her to a different facility which was the hardest thing I have ever done. I enjoy the staff here, all are very helpful and very nice to talk to. They take time to answer all and all questions. I have found that if they did not know the answer they would research it and get back to me with an answer. The food here is getting better and better. some time ago the food was not very good, but with new chefs and I guess better cooks,, most of the time it is quite good. This does not =mean it is as good as my wife's cooking by any means but for a facility food it is very acceptable.

My mom had looked at a few independent living places . This is the one she chose. She has been very happy here . I know she made the right decision to come here All the staff are very friendly . There are a lot activities to do here and I’m sure whoever decides to move in here will love it just as much as my mom does

My father passed away unexpectedly in 2021 and mom needed to find a senior independent living community that would accomodate her visual and audible impairments. Waltonwood Lake Boone provided the perfect setting for mom to thrive by providing a large apartment with a patio overlooking the courtlyard on a floor with easy access to the dining facility. The large apartment size enabled her to create a comfortable living space using many of her home furnishes. Adjusting to a new reality was made easier by the very helpful staff and wonderful group of volunteer residents. Waltonwood Lake Boone is located minutes away from Rex hospital and a vast network of medical support facilities. They provide in-house physical therapy as well as many life enrichment programs. For my mom Waltonwood Lake Boone was the right place at the right time.

Our father is an active and independent 101 year old who is currently residing at Waltonwood in Raleigh, NC. Following a couple of unsuccessful six-month residencies at other senior homes we were ecstatic to find Waltonwood which has truly proven to be an oasis. From the welcoming leasing department, the ever helpful-24/7 concierge desk, accommodating dining room and cleaning personnel to the caring life enrichment and kind management staff, Waltonwood has been an answer to our prayers. The building is stunning, and beautifully maintained, the meals are diverse and delicious and the programming very inclusive. We highly recommend Waltonwood.

My husband and I have been residents here at Waltonwood Lake Boone for 4 years now. What I like best about this place is the people. It's a very warm, welcoming, and interesting group of people. The management team here is getting stronger by the day. Coming through the pandemic has been difficult for everybody. But we would stay here and we would come back here, and I would recommend it. This type of retirement life is a challenge in the beginning, but it is good for your health, and good for your well-being, good for your mental and physical health. It's just been delightful. The facility is reasonably well-designed. With independent living facilities, I like that everything is accessible. You just walk out the door and meet friends. And there are many things to do and places to do it. We have doctors making house calls here and excellent physical therapy and occupational therapy. I just can't imagine anything better than to live where there's all this support. We are as busy as we can be. There are all sorts of games. I play Bridge a couple of times a week and there are trivia games as well as the usual bingo, and just all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities as well. We have a very active walking club and a book club. There are intellectual and physical activities all the time. Some of the things I like the best are things that involve children, grandchildren, and young children. I've had the opportunity to read to a classroom of children. We have a camp in the summer that brings our grandchildren in and it's just very well done. And I have tried new things that I've never done before and enjoyed them. If you are healthy and can eat anything, you're in luck. The food here can be excellent. You'll get a really good cook and then they leave. There's a lot of turnovers. So, I would say it's up and down. Some facilities are not always functional. That has been the problem. We have a movie theater, but a lot of the time, the equipment is not working. The Internet service is not strong enough. Just because there are problems, it doesn't mean that it's not good overall. It is one of the best places that I have found. The attitude and the feeling of the people and the energy here are just really good. And after four years, if I could, I would stay.

We chose Waltonwood Lake Boone. We're leaning towards independent living, but they have memory care (as well as assisted living). The staff and the people were very friendly when we visited. We had a number of current residents without provocation say this is a good place to live. The atmosphere seemed impressive. The person who gave me the tour was very honest and open. We also knew people who were living there and talked with them. The rooms were very nice. They were smaller than we're accustomed to, but they seemed accommodating. The dining area was very attractive and very accommodating. They only offer two meals a day, and they were not offering a meal while we visited. They did have the little cafe open. They have a wide range of activities. They have a library, a game room, exercise facilities, a crafts room, a gardening room, a court with a putting green, and a movie theater. The staff during the tour was very knowledgeable and very forthcoming.

Waltonwood Lake Boone was very high end, very beautiful, and very impressive. From the outside, the size might be overwhelming for some people, but once you're in the assisted living and memory care areas, it doesn't seem overwhelming anymore. All the levels of care are connected to each other; that's why it looked bigger. It is only about three years old so it's brand new. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful. She sat down with me and really explained the pricing for all three levels of care, both for one-person and two-person pricing. She also showed me several options for the room. Their menu was very thorough. There were lots of choices and they were all very inviting. They have a lot of amenities, like each level of care has a library, and they're all decorated the same way. If you move from one level of care to another, it's all going to be very familiar looking, so that makes the transition easier. They all have an activity room that's very big and inviting and looked the same. They also have a physical therapy area. The independent and assisted living areas have a theater room that was decorated the same and labeled the same, as well as pool tables. It's just very well thought out. The independent living had a lot more than the other two levels because of the kind of lifestyle they have. There was an exercise class going on, and some people were out in the memory care garden attending to the plants and watering them. I didn't see any really large group activities because we went there after lunch. They have a full calendar of things to do every day, though. Overall, it was not as expensive as I thought it would be, but it's a brand new, beautiful, and just better facility.

My parents moved to the Independent Living section of Waltonwood Lake Boone two years ago and absolutely love it! They have made such great friends and enjoy the many Life Enrichment Activities offered. This year, even amidst Covid restrictions, they thoroughly enjoyed taking a "cruise" to many countries, which the Life Enrichment staff coordinated! All of the staff are so friendly! I highly recommend Waltonwood - Lake Boone!

We chose Waltonwood Lake Boone because they have not just independent living but also assisted living, and the fact that they're progressive to memory care. Although the room we saw there was not as spacious as the other places we've looked at, it was adequate for our needs. We didn't sample any food but the dining area was adequate compared to all the properties we have looked at. They have meal plans like breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just breakfast and dinner, they have 2 different plans there available. I felt that this community is more complete. My major concern was the social atmosphere of the property, in other words observing the residents, their gathering areas and interactions, and we had a very positive reaction with regards to this community.

We just moved my relative into Waltonwood Lake Boone. I really liked the staff at this facility. The facility itself is new, light, and bright. There's a lot of natural light, and even in the memory care the residents have the option of an apartment style room, which was important to my relative. We liked their space; it feels like home. The activities that are available looked good for him.
