I visited this facility

I went to Twin Rivers Independent Senior Community. It was nice, the apartments could be a little bigger, but it's alright. The staff was good. The outdoor area was nice, it's right downtown, and it's secure.

I visited this facility

Twin Rivers Independent Senior Community is very nice. We mainly looked at the surroundings, meal times, rooms, and different things like that. It was very nice, but I simply can't afford it. The apartments were very clean and very nice, and the dining area was also very nice. It's a very well-run community. They don't have anything I would call a courtyard, and I didn't see a library.

I visited this facility

I would have kept Mom at Twin Rivers except she needed a higher level of care. They were wonderful, kept it very clean, and had good food. It is independent living, so they don't provide care or bathe for anybody. They were very pleasant and had great activities that kept everybody busy. I would've loved to have been able to keep mom there but I had to get her into a higher level of care. The people were friendly. They had family days and family activities. They had everything.

I visited this facility

My visit at Twin Rivers was good. Beth was very helpful, they knew all the residents, the place was updated, and everybody was friendly. They were upfront about their facilities and their activities, and I met with one of the residents. The rooms were studios, and I have two parents that need space. So my only negative about it would be the size of the rooms because I have two parents and that would be my only hesitation in not using it. They have daily exercises, daily craft activities, and outings, and they have ministers and music people coming in. They have pretty much anything you would want. They have transportation for people that need appointments. The building had some limitations as far as the location, and they don’t have the space to have larger apartments.

I visited this facility

Twin Rivers Independent Senior Community was very nicely set up. There was an elevator in the building, so my sister wouldn't have to worry about walking upstairs. The place was excellent. In fact, I would live there myself. The lady who assisted us was very nice and explained things and how we would go about getting my sister in. The food smelled good, and the dining area was nice and clean.

Provider Response

Twin Rivers would like to thank you so much for the kind remarks! Please feel free to stop in anytime and have lunch with us.

I visited this facility

I liked that Twin Rivers was small with only 30 residents, simple, and in the same town that I live in. The staff was caring, and there were activities. The services would probably be fewer when you only have 30 people, but I liked it because it’s close to where I live, and I could walk around in my town without moving away.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We chose the facility for my mother-in-law because of cost and I'm familiar with it because it's just five minutes from our house. They have lots of activities. We have someone that does her medication and it's quite easy to set up. They take her down for meals and staff is just really nice. It's like a small apartment, there's a little living room, little kitchenette with a little refrigerator, microwave, a bedroom and a bathroom. We used to go there and do Bible study once a month so I knew a lot of people who lived there.
