What I like best about Grayson Creek of Welcome is the staff. They are looking after their residents and my mom says that they spoil her. I like that. The place is clean. It doesn't have those weird smells. The facilities are neat. They have rocking chairs out front and swings out back. They also have a salon and a place where they can go outside within a fenced area.

The rules and instructions from a residents doctor should be followed!! Interactions with the staff was that they did not care they left an oxygen resident sitting in a commode for who’s knows how long without her oxygen..despite dr orders… she should never be without her oxygen

I like Grayson Creek a lot because of the person that provided us with the tour. Her name is Bonnie, she's a former director of the facility that retired, and they asked her to come back. She loves the people, she loves the facility and that's why she came back, and she was extremely knowledgeable. She's taking a new position there, and a couple of people are moving around and she came back to fill in. So she was an excellent person, had high energy, and just did a very good job. The maintenance and upkeep looked very good. I like their rooms, they seemed to be a little better than the other places I toured. They seemed to be a little bit larger, they had dual closets. Every room had its window with shrubbery outside and they're just very clean, and it just seemed very nice. We got there shortly after lunch and it smells good, it made me hungry. They finished dining and cleaned up, and I think it was steak and mashed potatoes was the primary food, she said that day. And I understand it was quite good but we did not eat there. It's a very nice dining room, with a nice wide table for separation, they were all round tables, spotlessly clean. And I understand they have an excellent chef.

My brother who has special needs lives at this facility for the past 3 years. They have activities available for the residents. Everyone try's to help the residents with their needs. Always kept clean. Food is ok like most other places I am sure. He has enjoyed his time here. only negative is often short staffed and staff comes and goes lot. Not enough pay I am afraid for the hours they have to work.
