I am the daughter in-law of my husband's mother who is a resident of NP of Archdale. In April, 2018 her son and i checked his {now 97 yr old} mother in a two room suite there. There were quite a few adjustments that she has had to make this past year because she had always been a hard working independent person, living alone since the late 1970's. She seems to be more settled now and has finally accepted it as her home. She has two wonderful "Joy Lee" home care CNA'S working between her and three other suites M-F from 6am-11pm. We are so thankful that she has this one on one attention. NP is "very clean" and has a "very friendly atmosphere". Everyone is so nice there, ready to answer any question we may have for them if we ever need to call about an issue. My husband and i and his sister live in different states. We visit as often as possible, and are so thankful for such a caring staff that looks after our mom so well. She loves the attention she gets there. We have been concerned about the food being an issue for her due to her stomach issues and that she can't always eat what is available in the dining room. It is nice that she has the suite where she has a fridge and microwave and can heat her own can goods there that agree with her stomach issue. Also with us living so far away it is wonderful that we do not have to worry about transportation for her to doctor/ dentists appointments since that is offered there at NP. She is mostly a wheelchair patient but she still goes on some of the outside activities with them and seems to enjoy them and being interactive with other residence there which is a positive thing for her. When living alone in her home it was a concern for us that she only managed to be around people one time a week when going to the hair dresser. She needed that interaction with people which she is getting at NP. We are very pleased with NP staff. They do a great job and have much concern for their residence there. Thank you NP staff for the care you give your residence there. We feel a warm welcome there every time we come visit my mother in-law. You all become more like family to us each time we visit. We think you all have a God given spiritual gift to work with these elder folks day in and day out as you do.

The tour at North Pointe of Archdale was okay. The lady who gave us the tour wasn't very sure of herself. She couldn't answer some of our questions, like even the cost. We didn't like the facility. Every single room had low ceilings, and the rooms were small. None of the residents were out and about, and no one was interacting. Everyone just stayed in their room all the time. So we did not like it. They had an activity room, and there was no one in there. There was a piano in there, and they said no one ever plays it. So it's just kind of dead.

My friend moved into North Pointe of Archdale and hes doing really good so far. Hes in therapy, and I take him out once in a while to shop a little. The apartment is fine, its spacious, they serve meals, and they keep the place clean. The staff is really helpful.

North Pointe of Archdale was OK, but I didn't think it would be a good fit for my mom. The staff was very nice. The place was clean. One thing I didnt like was that four people will be sharing one bathroom. The exercise room was really small and outdated.

North Pointe of Archdale was nice. I thought I had an appointment, but they did not know. They did take the time to show me around a little bit. I remember the grounds were not well kept. This place was not going to meet the needs of my mother because it was not a nursing facility. The rooms were nice and of good size. Some of the apartment type rooms had a kitchenette with a little refrigerator. The dining room looked small, and I thought it was a little bit inadequate. I saw an activity room, and it was really nice. There was a lady in there working on a jigsaw puzzle. It looked like they had a lot of things to do like crafts.

I have located mom to North Pointe of Archdale. She has been there for a month, but the thing I like about this facility is that their staff is more personable. They are all very friendly, and they go above and beyond what they really have to do and do a lot of things they don’t have to., The rooms have been remodeled recently, and they are pretty nice. My mother had to get a room that shares a restroom, and she has to take a shower across the hall, but I wish the rooms had their own bathrooms but other than that they are nice. Mom likes the food a lot, and they had a good variety. The dining room is clean, but it’s not very large; they have two settings each meal. I guess there are 50 plus people there, and the dining room holds probably half of them. They go places, they do outside stuff like shopping, and they have crafts. I know the doors are locked at 8.

Let me first say off that I enjoyed the nice drive to Archdale. Its not too far from Greensboro, maybe 15 minutes but it was nice nonetheless. As for the living facility, it was you basic run of the mill facility. Nothing spectacular jumped out except for this patient we will (for this purpose) call Jimmy. He was a riot! He has me laughing non-stop while I was laughing waiting to see management to possibly get a walkthrough. He told me that he would walk me through so off we went. He gave me the ins and outs of the facility. He showed me everything that goes on and he even gave me inside information! The wash the towels in hot water twice! How is that for cleanliness ha ha. He said they get three meals a day and and they have plenty to do but he misses a good old fashioned conversation with some "younger folk." He actually invited me back if I wanted to come back to play some board games or shoot some, well you know. The staff, honestly, I did not see much of them, but the guest themselves would keep you busy enough
