I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I only give this place one star and that is for the nurses who actually did their job and worked like they wanted to be there. My mom was in there for 2 weeks for rehab after almost not being here anymore. This place is NOTHING like their website shows! Outdated and depressing rooms, paint peeling off the walls, not even enough plugs to plug in a charger, I had to bring her a power strip. It was SO hot in there I had to bring 2 small fans to clip onto her table just to try to keep her comfortable. No extra pillows or blankets...I had to supply those too. When I asked for some Ice they didn't even have an extra pitcher, I had to go back and get hers. There are NO options for meals, you get what they want to give you whether you like it or not. Most of the time the food was ice cold or unidentifiable. Couldn't even get hot coffee or warm eggs. When asked some to heat something in the microwave she was given attitude. Weekend and evening care is awful. My mom was in the bathroom and was having trouble breathing and having chest pains....pulled the chain...no help...yelled and yelled...no help...even the lady next to her pushed her call button and NOBODY CAME. She had to deal with it on her own and thank God she was able to. I went to bring her food and the poor lady next to her was in the bathroom and needed help. I told them THREE times she was still in there but just kept being told they were busy. She was in there half dressed in a wheelchair before I got there....for the hour I was there and when I left she was STILL IN THERE with NO help!!! People sitting in wheelchairs in the hallway for long periods of time with no socks on their feet. She had to beg for water and was told they didn't have any. They have to bring ice and water in coolers so nobody gets any until they get some. She went hours asking for water and that's pathetic. One nurse literally said she was to tired to go down and put the code in to get on the elevator as she sat there eating her chips and dip and gave me the code and said not to tell anyone. TWICE. IF you HAVE to be here or put someone you love here....which I DO NOT RECOMMEND.....be present EVERYDAY and bring them food! I will NEVER let my mom go there again! Read reviews first! I wish I had! This place is in a nice area, looks nice on the outside but nothing is as it seems. I will give credit to some of the nurses who were great and treated my mom with respect and I know they can only do with what resources they are given...but to make a patient wait hours for meds and have to beg for water over and over and not get help when it's urgent...NOT ACCEPTABLE. This is just the worse of what we went through. If you love your family member....just be warned about this place! So frustrating that their site gives false information and hope. I know most places are not good nowadays and that's sad but this IMO is one of the worst. Just be warned. You will not have a good stay here. Period.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The rooms are outdated which would not have bothered me or my loved one had it not been for the black filth that was every where. I do not believe there is a mop in the entire facility nor does there seem to be anyone who wipes any surfaces other than the front lobby - which is quite deceptive on how the rest looks. The elevators are from the 60's and break down constantly, but the stairwell has trash and black soot/dirt on the floors/railing/ doors so that is nice. I experienced a very few nurses and aides that were kind. I actually feel bad for the few good ones who are subjected to working here. The majority of the staff were rude, did not hide distaste for you in facial expression or verbally. They roll their eyes and talk down to you. I even was yelled at with her finger in my face for putting a towel near a laundry door (which I was directed to do by a different nurse by the way). The poor residents get to enjoy sitting in their own filth and not getting their meds, if they ring their call button, they can enjoy being ignored and then yelled at for trying to get help! The entire floor smelled strong of urine and dirty patients for the entire duration my loved one was there (over 3 weeks!!!). Meds were not given, dietary restrictions not followed, general care/cleanliness not offered, personal items went missing, and retaliation is so very strong if you say you are mistreated. They do not hide their dislike for their jobs here. There are no amenities offered. This place is deplorable at best and I honestly do not know how the department of health allows it to remain open.

We've placed dad at Williamsville Suburban LLC. Everyone has been open, honest, and transparent. They've been great to work with, and great with follow-up. They went out of their way to allow my father to come in, allow my father to grow, and they're making concessions for him based on his needs. His room is basic, but it has everything that he needs. Everyone there is very friendly and very accommodating. I met with the activities director and he explained to me all the neat things that they do like outings, walking, and other stuff. They're taking care of my father, feeding him, and providing him with whatever he needs right now. All in all, I think it's a great place and I would recommend it to other people.

No one took the time to explain how things worked at the facility with regard to laundry, regular update, how to reach the doctor, who to contact with concerns. This facility does not meet any sort of acceptable standards for care. Rooms are very dirty. Dining room needs a thorough cleaning. There are some staff that are very compassionate and helpful and then there are some that should not be working in a caring field. Often times you see residents on their beds minus clean sheets and blankets. The first thing that hits you when you get off of the elevator is a strong smell of urine and often times there is a very strong smell of feces and it seems like forever before a resident is cleaned up. I would never ever place a loved one in this facility. Laundry situation is a nightmare.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have been there 2 months. It smells bad and dirty, but, if health inspectors are coming, they will clean the place up. Treatments are missed all the time. There are times when medications are not reordered, so you have to go without for a few days. The business office opens your mail. No day pass for rehab patients. One of the nurses leaves for 3-4 hours with no nurse on the floor. Please don't place anyone here.

The rooms at Williamsville were absolutely horrible. I could not even finish the tour. I was sickened by the smell, and it was so hot. There were people sitting in the halls just drooling all over themselves. They did not look like they were being taken care of.

This place is BAD!!!! My family member has been here for a few months. The bed has not been changed since arrived. The place is filthy, smells and has the worst staff . Personal belongings including sentimental items and money were taken. Medications are not dispensed properly and even missed. The Patient suffers in pain. I am embarrassed to bring anyone here to visit. In search of better place, we finally found one. The Patient will be leaving soon. I wish I could take all the residents out of this hell hole and place them in a better place. Whom ever owns and runs this place should be ashamed of yourself. I am sure you are spending all the residents money in a nice warm place, instead you should have to live in this facility for a month and be treated like our loved ones have been. I just hope people read this review and Please do not send your loved ones here.

This place is disgusting-the North building worse than the south building. It's dirty. Look at the floors, the walls, the elevator, the patient rooms. They are disgusting. It smells bad. Always. The staff, especially in the North building, are lazy, use foul language, and are abusive towards the residents. I would NEVER allow a family or friend to stay here. I'm not sure why NYS allows them to remain open. One only has to walk in and look around for five minutes to see how awful this place is. Please do not bring your loved ones here.

My family and I were very satisfied with the care my mother received at Williamsville Suburban. They are a little short staff but they met all my mom's needs. Tony is a great asset to the place always there when you need him and is always cheerful Brian from Physical Therapy was very kind and patient with my mom. The nurses kept us inform and were very pleasant.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My Mother currently is a resident of this facility and I would like to commend the charge nurse and her favorite aide on the wing she is on. The 2 of them will go above and beyond to keep my Mother happy and have been nothing but pleasant in helping me with any issues that I come across with her daily care and maintenance. They really belong in this profession!
