I liked Kingsway Manor. My mom had been there for a couple of years before she passed away. It is quite nice, she was in an independent living apartment. The apartments were nice, she had a 1-bedroom apartment, they had one meal a day included which was very nice. It's kind of restaurant style, they had main meals that they had prepared, but you could also choose something else so that was nice. They had cleaning once a week, the manager was very nice, and they had a lot of activities that you could participate in; of course these days probably not so much. They've got laundry right there, you could either have them do it, or you can do it yourself. During the winter, they can clean your car, move it, and plough around. Any kind of maintenance at all, even hanging a picture; they have maintenance people that will take care of that. It was pretty complete; they covered most of your needs, and you just had to come up with breakfast, and a small meal in the evening. The building was kept-up nice, the building she was in either had a small, little patio area or there was a second floor, and a small balcony where you could sit out there.

Understaffed, no activity calendar on line. Need to update activities. Wii bowling is old. Kudos for kitchen staff for trying. Mix up laundry as A lot. Some rooms are small. Never enough Bingo! Staff could be more friendlier. They were clicking.

My tour at Kingsway Manor Assisted Living was exceptional. They're my number one choice right now. It was clean, and the woman I dealt with, her name was Kate, and she was exceptional and very informative. The facility was meticulous. The rooms were well laid out and nicely furnished. They also said that if we wanted to bring our own furniture, we could, which would be helpful, especially for a lounge or something that would make a person feel comfortable. But the whole layout was phenomenal, they're beautiful. The room I saw was more of a studio. They had a social hour or happy hour on Fridays, and they had a book group. I appreciated the fact that the meals can be delivered to my ex-spouse's room because sometimes he would have difficulty getting to a dining area, and that would be an awkward situation for him. The staff that gave me the tour was so poised so knowledgeable and she's a very caring person.

The rooms were spacious and had nice lighting, however, the windows were so cheap that they frosted in the winter and needed to be covered with plastic and protected from drafts. Staff are very poorly advised and allowed to do so. Communication between staff and residents is often unsavory and if an issue about a staff member is addressed with person in charge, resident is often not believed and issue is dismissed. Amazing staff have been forced to leave and poor to limited quality of services and interaction is witnessed.

At Kingsway Manor, they had a wide age group. They had assisted living, nursing home, and independent living all in one place, so you can go from one thing to the next as you get older. They had plenty of activities and a full schedule. One person took me around. The staff was very good.

Kingsway Manor Assisted Living has been very professional and very caring to my father. It’s clean, homey, and neat. I like the care they’re giving my father overall. I’ve eaten there. The food and the dining area are fine.

The layout was a little overwhelming for me. It's one of those things you would get used to once you are familiar with it, but it was a little bit of a maze. They had an activity room, and the room sizes were pretty good. I really liked that at Kingsway Manor, their nursing facility was attached, and that was a huge plus for me. If I want to go take my aunt and uncle out for lunch or even a small shopping trip, there's a lot of things close by where I could do that with them. It has a bit of an age to it, but it's very well maintained and very clean. I would have no complaints in that department. The people were very friendly and very helpful.

My mom was in Kingsway Community. They were very good actually. Their rooms were very nice and big. My mom had a studio apartment back then and it was very clean. The food was very good. The people there were very nice. They did have activities for their residents. They did have assisted living aside from independent but I thought it was very expensive. Also the quality of care that they did have there is the same as to the other facility where she is in now.

Kingsway was chosen by my in-laws because it's 20 minutes away from where they lived and their church is about 5 to 10 minutes away. Many of their activities are still in the town of Schenectady. They want to be in independent living but we liked the building they chose because the people are very willing to help them do everything they need. We had lunch there and it was very good. Everybody we met there was really friendly. We are really pleased with their choice. They will move there in August.

I think the staff was fantastic. My grandmother was a cranky old lady who was stubborn and would refuse to eat and or bathe. The women were always friendly, convinced her to go to the dining romm, the beauty palor and game room. She loved the dog nights and the local musicians that would come and entertain the residents. I wish the facility offered more outdoor space but the view of the golf course was pretty nice. I like the fact that facility had safety measures on the wandering patients, however, many of them were not appropriate for the home. My grandmother was private and didnt like the "wanders" coming into her room and I don't blame her.

I thought this was an excellent facility with great care. My grandparents started in a 2-bedroom apartment with many extra amenities to help them. My grandmother received personalized care as her illness progressed, and she was eventually transferred to a 24-hr hospice room before she passed. My grandfather's supervision was slowly increased until he was moved into a 24-hr care room. The staff was incredibly nice and the physicians very knowledgable. They had many great perks, including a Wii bowling team that my grandfather was a member of.
