Facility has a variety of sizes for rooms and many common areas for residents to use. The activities department is top notch and are constantly adding new outings, entertainer’s, and requesting feed back from residents. A lot of staff have been there for years and are very kind, compassionate, and helpful in answering questions. The building was built many years ago but has had many improvements and seems to continually update to try to have a home environment. I know many people that have visited the facility years ago and that recently visited again and have been astonished by the numerous changes and improvements. I live locally and can tell you that the community is amazing and so many in the community look out for the residents and give there time to letting the residents feel valued and loved. This is a must see. If you have not visited for a tour you are missing out.

I went to Heritage Manor of Ransomville with my two sons. People were friendly. There was so much I didn't like. This lady showed us the place. She only showed us rooms that people were living in, yet she told me she had 17 empty rooms and never showed me an empty one. I don't know why. And that was one thing. The other thing was that most clientele there were just sitting watching TV, or walking together. If I say, hi, how are you? They didn't react to me. They just kept on walking. So, I don't know. It just didn't appeal to me. I just didn't feel like I wanted to be there. It wasn't clean, but like I said, she only showed me certain rooms. It was lunchtime. She was trying to hurry out for lunchtime. She never offered us a meal. I have my two sons with me. There wasn't a lot there. They had a place where they said it was the rec room. Some guy was sitting in there just staring out the window and nobody was doing anything. They had nice stuff. They had pool tables. They had all kinds of stuff. Nobody was playing. Everybody was sitting in a chair, watching TV. That was what most, say at least 70% of the people were doing. And you couldn't stay in your room unless you're sick. I don't know who's going to tell me I have to stay in my room. I'm not a kid. I like to take an afternoon nap if you'll excuse me. I guess they couldn't believe that they had to be up and sitting somewhere, and I just didn't understand it. I like to compare it to some other places, but that one was not for me.

What I liked best about Heritage Manor of Ransomville was the convenience, and the least I liked was the facility. The staff didn't have answers to all the questions. The dining area was fairly large. They had another snack room off of that. The facility was a hospital that was built back in the 1950s, so the floors were dirty. The rooms almost felt like you were going into a jail or prison. I wouldn't send my worst enemy's mother there.

I was very impressed with the Heritage Manor of Ransomville. I was impressed with the staff and I was impressed with the facility. Even though it's old, they're working to upgrade it and update it, so I was pretty impressed by them. The staff is great. They are excellent. There are still parts of the facility that are aging, but they're working on updating and modernizing. The unit I saw there, I would say, was above average.
