I visited this facility

We loved Village Walk. We were actually all ready to sign up for residency there, but what I didn't like was the discussions about finances. There was more of a pressure tactic there. Not with the person that I took a tour with, she was amazing, but it's the people that she reports to. When you tour, it's a sales position as well. The facility, the food options, and all the extracurricular activities were amazing. The room and the atmosphere of the community were great. It's very upbeat and lively. The residents all seemed to be happy. We would have taken it if it wasn't because of the issue with the payments.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have chosen Village Walk for my mother. My mother has moved into their assisted living. They were one of the few assisted living communities that offered a high-level care, which was something my mother would require. It's probably my main reason, too. When I went there, I found the community to be very active. I love the fact that they encourage their seniors to engage in the public area of the community. And I found the staff to be very attentive. The facility is very clean. Every staff member that walks by would greet you, so it's a very welcoming environment and I thought it's really good. The programs are great. They have a lot of activities for the seniors, and they keep everyone very active. With regard to value for money, it works out well.

Village Walk Patchogue was a great place for our dad to live. The staff took great care of him, they were very friendly and attentive. They offer a fun social calendar with a variety of activities to participate in, clean living spaces, and a nice dining area with lots of options on their menu. Family members were personally invited to attend festivities throughout the year.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My 91 year old dad and 93 year old mom moved in 2/1/22 and so far I’m so happy for them. Although my father got sick and has to spend time in the hospital before he got to move in Village Walk has taken great care of mom. From the time we moved her into her room she has had a smile on her face non-stop. The staff has made her feel very welcome and at home. From the time we wheeled her in (mom is in a wheelchair most of the time) the staff took to her and made sure she ate and had an understanding of the place while I was able to get her room together. Unfortunately because of the pandemic visiting hours are at a minimum to protect the residents. However they let me stay to get the apartment setup and ready for when dad get out of the hospital. Mom is not much of a social butterfly but Village Walk has so many different activities and entertainment go all day that she is able to keep her mind off the fact she is missing dad. I have found the entire staff to be great!

I visited this facility

It was absolutely beautiful, clean, and the staff was extremely helpful, very professional, friendly, and they knew the residents' names, which means a lot. It's close to everything that you would need. They have a pretty full schedule of stuff to do. They don't have a pool, but they take them to a pool once a week, which is nice. The place is brand new.

I visited this facility

It was a wonderful and beautiful place. The services, the activities, and the convenient location were great. However, my in-laws are not yet ready for them. Nevertheless, the place was gorgeous, and the amenities were wonderful. Everything there was very nice. The room was clean. There was enough space for one bedroom with a small living area. The closets were small.
