I'm in The Bristal Assisted Living in Jericho. It's been very good. The meals are very good and very well done. There are a lot of activities. The rooms are all very clean, I have laundry once a week, and they clean every day. They also make your bed. As for the food, I think you can pretty much order whatever you want because it's a very diverse menu. The staff is very nice and courteous, and everybody's very friendly. I don't do too much of the activities. I go to the gym at least 3 times a day and do not do many activities. My kids live very close by so I'm out visiting them pretty much during the day. I have my grandchildren, so I spend a lot of time with them. The place is pretty new, so everything is nice. They even have a pool here. It's all very, very well done, and the building is very well kept. The only thing I would complain about is the price, it's pretty expensive. You do get a lot for your money but it's expensive.

The Bristal at Jericho was very beautiful. It had an upscale look to it. It was very clean looking. The staff were engaging and listened to our needs, were very polite, and accommodating. They had a movie theater, an arts and crafts room, a sitting area on each floor, and a family dining room that you can rent for use. They also had a salon in the basement, and a library that had a fireplace, and doors that open out onto the patio. That was very nice.

I went to The Bristal Assisted Living. It's lovely and has so much to offer. The people were very nice, the place was immaculate, it's brand new. They had an outdoor pool, they had all kinds of activities throughout the day, and this time of the year they even had water activities for the residents. They have a movie theater, an exercise room, a wellness center, and an art studio.

My mom lived there for about 5 months. The best way to describe this place is “smoke and mirrors”. They say all the right things but at the end of the day, they want your money regardless if it’s the right fit for the resident. Bruce could be the most disingenuous and slippery salesperson I have ever encountered. Tread very cautiously on all fronts when exploring this facility…especially if Bruce is involved.

Although I only toured the facility (both with and without my parents), I still felt the need to give major compliments to the service provided by Bruce and Sara, the salespeople. Rarely have I ever seen such a genuine effort to not only give an honest presentation on their own facility, but also to point out other competitors which they felt could be equally suitable for us. There were several follow up phone calls to check how we were doing, but none of them were high sales pressure calls. It just was an overall excellent experience.

I moved into The Bristal community two weeks ago after selling my own condo. Most importantly, they have been welcoming, respectful and accommodating during a life move for me. The apartments are beautiful, clean and well cared for. The ammenities are wonderful, and, during this time, we have enjoyed dining meals, exercise classes, movie theatre and more. I would not hesitate to move to the Bristal.

2 hours ago My mom is a resident since July 15, 2020. She arrived unable to get up on her own and needed a two person assist when she arrived. I am happy to say with the support of all the staff in the reflections unit, my mom has done a complete turn around. She gets up much easier now and is independently moving around with her walker. Gina, Bruce, Sara are amazing and made moms transition to her new home extremely easy and pleasant Jackie, the RN is awesome. The reflections unit staff love my mom and treat her like family. Paige, Ashley and Lexi from recreation are amazing as well. Also thank you to Arsenia, Katie, Tiara,Ashima and the rest of the RSA’s for taking such great care of mom. This place is also beautiful and very clean !!!

My mom moved into the Bristal at Jericho in November 2019. From the moment she moved in, she and I both have been happy and grateful that we chose this facility. The executive staff have been outstanding, and are always accessible to my mom and myself. In addition, the recreation, medical, food services, housekeeping and maintenance staff have been more than accommodating to my mom’s needs. From the essential elements such as providing a safe and healthy environment with nutritious meals and help with personal care, to the less “necessary”, but still important features such as assisting my mom with her TV remote when it wasn’t working, I could not ask for a better situation. This is a wonderful environment for my mom to meet and share experiences and activities with the other residents. Finally, the safety precautions that the staff has maintained during this Covid pandemic have been outstanding.

My mom moved to the Bristals January 2020. She has been very happy and enjoys the company and activities there. Unfortunately there was a pandemic but they took all proper precautions and all was safe. A high five to all staff during this particular time. Sara, Gina and Bruce have made this transition for her a wonderful experience.

My parents have been living here at The Bristol at Jericho since last summer and my brother and I have been very happy with the way this organization takes care of my parents. Gina, Bruce and Sara have been a pleasure to work with. We’re thankful and grateful that my Parents are being taken care of and are safe during this horrific pandemic.

At the beginning of 2019 I really did not have an understanding of “Assisted Living”. In the meantime I was trying to take care of and help my mother who lived alone, had stopped driving, was not eating 3 quality meals per day, needed help doing everything around the house and was extremely lonely and isolated. Then I came into contact with Mike from Assisted Living Locators and he introduced me to the Bristal in Jericho, which is definitely one of the most beautiful, premiere assisted living locations on Long Island. Our family, with my Mother went on a tour of the facility and were overwhelmed with the shear beauty of the place, but most importantly felt at home with every staff person we met. All the common spaces are large, roomy and have plenty of comfortable seating. The decor of each and every part of the building is bright, happy, cheerful and very pleasing to the eye. During our tour we viewed several apartments and my mother and our family “fell in love” with one on the 3rd floor. Generously large, bright and airy apartment where Mom could bring her own furniture plus all her favorite things from home. Every detail is set up for the safety and comfort of the occupant. My mother has been living there for 4 months and has truly enjoyed the advantages of the Bristal. Excellent food, cleaning services, laundry services, onsite physical therapy, exercise classes, bingo, games galore, the movies, library, hair salon, podiatrist and GP Doctor. But most of all the ability to socialize with her peers every day.

Terrible facility. The Memory Care portion is especially despicable. They don’t listen to the family, don’t interact with them as much as promised and can and will kick out your family member if they are not perfect. I could not recommend this place less and would give zero stars if I could. Please put your family member in a better facility where the staff will actually care of them.

My mother will be moving into The Bristal Assisted Living at Jericho. The staff was very nice and very attentive. They offer a lot of activities. It's a brand-new facility, which opened four weeks ago. We had a good lunch there. Mom enjoyed it. They had a swimming pool, a small cinema with movie theater seats, a very large bistro area with a pool table and card games set up on the one end, a salon with four seats, and different sitting areas around the property that had fireplaces. The only area that they had a TV in is the bistro area because they want the residents to be more active. They don't want them just sitting in front of the TV. It's larger than the other facilities that we looked at and had 140 residents. They had a Reflections unit, which is their memory care which has a maximum of 40 capacity. They primarily do their own thing there. There is not a lot of residents, so they're combining the two units for activities. I like that if Mom had to move into the Reflections unit, it's more one-on-one care. It's round-the-clock, so we don't have to worry about anything.
