My friend is going to go to St. Francis Park in Hamburg. It's a very nice place. It's beautiful. They had a beautiful library, spacious grounds, and big rooms. And they were really nice to us. Right away I like that place. When we came in there, somebody had a private birthday party and they invited us. Everybody was so friendly. They're super. All the people that live there came over and talked to my friend. They asked her name and everything. They're super friendly. Everything was nice about the place. They have a beautiful library and a beautiful chapel. They have sitting rooms and everything. They have studio rooms. They have a beautiful swimming pool, too.

This place hides behind its “Catholic Identity” as a craven profit seeking enterprise at the cost of the mental health and well-being of the residents. They have forced my active, independent aunt who can drive, manage medications, cook, etc to live on the Alzheimer’s wing. The food is bland, starchy, and fat-laden and making her sick. They won’t even order fish or offer fresh produce. They have institutionalized a healthy active person in the worst possible sense. This is the reward for a life of service to the Catholic Church. Proves yet again that women, and especially women religious and their well-being, don’t matter at all to this money grubbing enterprise. Rooms are small poorly designed. Staff is argumentative and unresponsive to reasonable concerns (like variety of food.) I am worried my aunt’s well-being and mental health is being seriously compromised.

We're in the process of moving my mom to St. Francis Park. It was wonderful, and it was perfect for her. I absolutely liked everything: the people, how clean it was, and everything about it was just perfect for her. I would move there when I'm older. I'd like to go there myself. The rooms are very nice, bright, cheerful and clean. They had a lot of different things for the residents. They offered food if we would have liked, but we turned it down. It smelled good, and it also looked delicious.
