Cortlandt Healthcare seems like a nice facility. It's the average price for the area (I've checked on all the others). It's $410 a day. So, if you're going to stay there for a long period of time, it could run a lot of money. The nurses have taken good care of my wife. They got her on medication and did physical therapy. The administrative staff has gone out of their way to help me. They got me a new medical plan and set up a new prescription plan for my wife. It's close and easy to get to for the family, too. The only thing I wish was the rooms could be a little bigger for the two people in the room.

My husband has been in the rehab on the third floor, the staff from the maintenance to the Dr. are all so helpful. He has been in numerous rehabs. With all my experience I felt comfortable leaving my husband . My only complaint is the food When needed again this will be our first choice , the therapist are great

My Mom was on the 3rd floor in rehab. Everyone in Physical Therapy were great with her. She was there for 1 1/2 years. The Nursing Station on the 3rd floor were wonderful to her. When she first arrived she needed Therapy to regain her strength after a very bad fall. The Nurses & Nurses Aides especially (Nicole), all cared for her with patience and compassion. My Mom always said on a scale of 1-10, they were a 12... My interactions with the Staff was always helpful and informative. Thank you

my family member has been a patient there several times for rehab, she has lost clothes, had medications held because the facility didn't have these drugs, this went on for 3 days. Nurses can be accusatory blaming the patient if things didn't go their way. One nurse accused my family member of faking severe abdominal pain because she didn't want to be discharged, as a result my family member ended up back at hospital with severe pancreatitis.

My uncle has been there 3wks for treatment of his stroke. His clothes have been stolen, some aids are rude and never put his wrist brace on or dress him properly. He suppose to be on a bathroom schedule and when I inquired about it no one knew any thing. Its always something at this place. He asked for his urine catch and was told "don't u know its one in the morning". I'm fed up with the treatment he gets here and am now looking elsewhere.

The picture displayed does not reflect anything that I saw there. I agree with the other review that the nursing care did not live up to the basic standards of nursing care. There was no respect or attention to my dignity. I had daily meds but no name band on my arm to verify who I was. The food did not meet a minimum calorie count and certainly did not have the nutrition minimums to maintain health. Fruit was drenched in syrup. There was no fresh vegetables or fruit. My safety was compromised numerous times. Luckily this was a short term stay. They need a major overhaul of protocols and safety procedures. Too bad they are for profit.

Cortland offers excellent physical & occupational therapy for anyone needing rehab from joint surgery or replacement. Cortland does not offer good nursing care, I encountered extreme difficulty in having pain & sleep medications dispensed. I had extreme swelling of my thigh caused by the surgical stocking, yet Courtland nurses advised me not to remove the stocking. There were inaccuracies in my chart, they indicated I had a TB Manatoux test, when none was given; they had a wrong first name for me; and they couldn't dispense pain meds every 4 hrs as needed under a PRN. Food was ok, and the dietician visited me daily for my preferences.
