She has a new sense of independence and has made many friends. It has been a life changer for her. All the staff we have dealt with are helpful and supportive. She is very happy there

Promenade at University Place was very clean. Everything seemed to be in working order. The residents seemed to be very happy. The admissions director was very well acquainted with the residents and all the programs. The rooms were modern, but when my husband and I walked down the parking lot, there was one particular resident who was sitting in the parking lot smoking a cigar. I know the residents can come and go as they want, but it was rather unpleasant walking out to your car with the person smoking a cigar in the parking lot. The facility itself was lovely, though. One other thing I noticed, was that it was well past lunchtime, but the lunch dishes were still on the table. That was a little off-putting. I don't know what their kitchen help was like, but it seemed like it was probably almost close to a quarter of two by then that the lunch dishes could have been picked up. Otherwise, the common areas were clean, the residents seemed to be happy and friendly. Basically, it's a good facility. We met the receptionist at the front desk and one of the activities people who walked by, but we didn't see a lot of staff around. That was the interesting thing. They must have been helping other residents at the time.

We toured the Promenade at University Place. It was very well-organized and very clean. The rooms were roomy. The bathrooms were very roomy. The person who helped us, Brittney, was excellent. It seems like there are a lot of activities and a lot of interaction, which is what you want. The place, I thought was up kept very well.

I'm moving into the Promenade at University Place. It's a converted hotel and the layout is just fine. It's very welcoming. The staff seems to be very helpful, and very supportive. The room is kind of small, but it's manageable. They keep everybody busy, I think they do have an exercise program, and entertainment. I like the location of this place.

The Promenade at University Place was large. The experience was positive. They had a flood several months ago, and they're still experiencing some dislocation from the flood, but they're working their way through it. The guests seemed to like the place. I had some of the food, and it was okay. The thing I didn't like about it was that they were still coming back from a sprinkler break in their facility.

Promenade at University Place was a very nice facility. The staff was excellent. The location I thought was poor, however. It's not an ideal location because it's right on a very busy road on Western Avenue, but the staff and the facility seemed to be OK. I toured the memory care and they had shared room facilities. They had common areas, too, and they were OK.

They had just had a serious water damage issue, so I really can’t rate the facility as such. The person who gave me the tour was wonderful. This was a bit more in services than what we’re looking for, in any case.

We're choosing Promenade at University Place for my mom. It was a wonderful place. The residents were very friendly. The staff was very friendly. It came highly recommended. The place was very clean. It's a perfect fit and it did meet my mother's needs. They do have a salon, a courtyard, activities, and private rooms.

I toured the Promenade at University Place. The staff and the person doing the tours seem very knowledgeable about their clients. They seem to offer a lot of activities and things. It's just, I know that that facility used to be a hotel and it kind of still feels like a hotel. And I didn't find it as clean as the other places that I visited, and perhaps because it's not as updated. They had a courtyard that was all enclosed. The outdoor space wasn't as nice as other facilities because it is right on Western Avenue. And there are other commercial buildings very close to it. It has six floors, and they only have three open at this moment.

I went to visit Promenade at University Place. I wasn't too thrilled with that one, that was my least favorite place and it looks just like a hotel. It seems like a very friendly atmosphere, everybody knew each other. They were trying to start to do a lot for the clients, as far as redesigning different areas of the building and trying to make it look more spiffy. What I didn't like is the rooms, they remind me too much of a hotel. I think it was kinda pricey for what they're offering. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and provided me with all the information we needed. She did her job well and kept up with me as well, she contacted me later to see if I was still interested in anything. She was good, she did her job. They were getting a little beauty salon coming on, and there was something they were trying to do outside.

Promenade at University Place was good. It was an older facility, but it seemed like it had everything that was needed. They had enough activities as far as movies, a library, a bus that goes out, transportation to appointments, and family can visit. I saw a one-bedroom. The interior seemed a little older. To me, it was kind of darker, just the coloring and everything. I prefer a brighter, kind of cheerier place. My rating had nothing to do with the care there or anything else about the facility. They actually were remodeling, so they are making some improvements.

Promenade at University Place was massive. It was four or five floors, and I think there were 200 residents there. It was just too overwhelming for my brother. The overall appearance and crowdedness did not appeal to me at all, but it had nothing to do with the people. The lady that toured me around was very accommodating.

Overall, Promenade at University Place was pretty good except the room was kind of small for my friend. The staff was very nice. I liked the dining hall, and they have a lot of stuff right there for her, she won't have to go out. We did not try the food, but we talked to the chef. I liked the friendliness of the people. They had a garden patio, but we didn't go out because it was raining when we were there. It's an excellent facility. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Promenade at University Place used to be the old Best Western Hotel that was converted into a senior living place, and that's exactly what it is. It looks fine to me, but where my mom is right now is much nicer. It was an institutional kind of place, but it was well-maintained and it was nice for what it was. The two ladies I met were very nice as well. They did everything they could to answer my questions. The dining area was also nice and clean. They filled in the pools and made an outdoor setting for them, then they also play bingo, watch movies, and play all kinds of games.

I toured the Promenade at University Place and this building was repurposed. It used to be the Best Western Hotel. It's five stories and the layout hasn't changed so it's got long, long hallways and there's no community area. What they've done was, they've taken a function room to try and use it for other things like for activities, but you feel very isolated there. There is no sense of community and out of the capacity of 200 residents, I think they said they have 50 right now. Another thing is the pricing, you have to pay an entrance fee upfront, but the rooms were good and nice. It's furnished and wheelchair accessible. The lady who showed us around was the marketing director and she was very nice, very polite, and very informative. The overall tour was good. The dining room is down on the first floor too. So, if you're on the upper floors and want to come down, they have a limitation on how many people you can get into the dining room due to COVID, maybe two people, so you'd have to wait and wait to get downstairs.

My in-laws moved into Promenade at University Place and the community is awesome. The staff is good so far, and the food is excellent. The dining area is really very cozy. They have enjoyable and numerous activities, they play bingo, watch movies, and so on. I would rate the food a five because everybody raves about it, including my husband.
