My relative is in The Aristocrat Assisted Living Center-Alamogordo. They are very personable with the residents, their nurses care very much for them, and they go above and beyond, making sure that the residents' needs are met. They're also available any time I have a question or need to contact them. I don't ever have any trouble getting hold of someone over there. The individual rooms are nice. She happened to get into a room that had a fresh coat of paint and a brand new carpet, and it's very well kept and very clean. That was one of the things that impressed me, is how clean the place is. The dining area is also kind of a recreation area, it's a nice, big, open room. It's inviting, it's friendly, it's not cluttered, and they have things in the room for them. They can get juice and coffee any time, there's a birdcage and a fish tank, and things like that that they can just enjoy looking at. It's not overwhelming and it doesn't take over the room, and they keep it also very clean and organized. They have games that they play, they have to know religious services, they have music, they have a hair salon on-site, a lady that even goes in and does their nails if the ladies like their nails done. So, yeah, they have several offerings. They try to give a large variety of food, they have a lot of different choices for the residents. And if someone doesn't like the primary meal being served, they have alternatives for them. It is difficult for them to cook for a large group of people with varying tastes, so it just depends on the resident's likes and dislikes. For what they get, it's affordable. It's all-inclusive, the laundry services are included, the cleaning, as well as the food. So it's easier to manage because there aren't a lot of nickel-and-dime charges. It's a little bit of an older facility, but they maintain it very well. There are a lot of activities, but because of COVID, they're just now getting back to something.
