My mother is at Complete Care at Park Place for rehab. They're great. The thing I like the best is the nurses are amazing. They're great with my mom. They love her. Even when she's not in the best of moods, they're still wonderful with her. Any questions I have, they're really good about getting the answers as soon as possible. They go over things with me. The hospital will call them to schedule appointments, so they'll get in touch with me to let me know what appointments she has. They'll set up transport for her since she's in a wheelchair at the moment. They work hard to take care of my mom, so I appreciate it. It's clean and friendly. The rehab area where they work with her is nice and has all kinds of stuff. The only problem my mom specifically had is that she keeps kosher and that's a newer thing for them. That's been a little bit tricky, but they have been trying hard to make sure she has food that she can eat. They even went the extra mile to get her kosher packs. That's not something they had, but they actually went the extra mile to do that and I can't thank them enough for that because she's not going to eat a pork sandwich. They make sure that they have stuff for her to eat. We're appreciative of that, especially since it's not something they're used to doing. The food tastes fine to me. I wouldn't say it's gourmet food, but it's fine and adequate. I've seen the menu and they have good meals. They do a great job taking care of the patients and making sure they're doing OK, even in some not-so-great circumstances that they're in. I definitely appreciate everything they've done for my mom. Medicare is covering it right now, which is wonderful. It's covered for 100 days. For such a great facility that's taking care of my mom and it's covered under Medicare, to me, that's very impressive.

I have never experienced an institution like this where the staff listened to and heard my concerns, addressed them honestly, and worked tirelessly with me and my parents for the best possible outcome. I cannot say that my parents found the food at Park Place delicious or didn't wish there were more aides per residents, but I would recommend Park Place with 100 stars. The level of care and communication from each member of the staff--the physical therapist, the nurse, the doctor, the Executive Director, and particularly the social worker--was exceptional. Shortly after Thanksgiving, my 91-year-old father was discharged from the hospital to Park Place Center for short-term rehabilitation. I was nervous about Park Place having read some on-line reviews. I was worried he would not receive enough therapy to walk again, and I was fearful he would contract COVID-19. My father received the daily physical and occupational therapies he needed to return home and I was kept updated on his progress. When he felt reluctant to leave, Park Place continued to work with him to build his confidence. The social worker also worked with me at length to bring my 90-year-old mother into the Center for a respite stay with my father for a week, which provided both of them the support they needed during a very difficult time. More importantly, the transparency in communication, advocacy, and care expressed by Park Place’s Executive Director and social worker were amazing. I have the sense (although I don’t know) that Park Place had been chastened by its experience with the virus in the Spring, and came away more compassionate and honest, rather than defensive and minimizing. I felt as though they cared a lot about my father's and the other residents' well-being. Park Place observed strict protocols regarding visitors, protective equipment, and testing for which I am very grateful. They tested staff and all residents frequently, alerted every family immediately when any staff tested positive (which was rare) with enough details to allow us to assess the risk of exposure to our family member, and they worked hard to arrange COVID vaccination for all residents and to keep family updated on useful information, including the positivity rate in the surrounding county, no matter whether it reflected well or poorly on Park Place. On the day when the pharmacist administered the vaccine, Park Place’s Executive Director advocated for my family in a way I could only have hoped for. The pharmacist was refusing to administer the vaccine to my mother because of a prior, unrelated test. The Executive Director went to great lengths to ensure that the pharmacist and supervisor had the most recent guidance from the CDC, so that my mother was eventually able to receive the vaccine that day. The Executive Director’s willingness to advocate for my family went far beyond anything I have experienced over the years in trying to assist my parents. I recommend Park Place highly because the people are kind, honest, caring, responsive, communicative, and very competent.

I had another family member of mine place here once more in March. I will continue to say great things about this building. And their new Admissions Director is amazing. She took her time to explain the process, and made it really feel like home for my loved one.

I toured the facility after hours and was greeted by a woman who was a manager. It was by 4th tour of the day and by far the best. I chose this facility based on word of mouth from friends in South Brunswick. I liked the smaller size-it felt like a family. The building did not look institutional- I thought it was part of the Marriott Resident's Inn. The hallways did not smell, there were 3 dining rooms and my family member had a lot of food choices even with her special diet. The rehab services were good and there was therapy on the weekends. The nurses and aides made my mom smile and they kept me informed. Once or twice I had some minor concerns and the Administrator called me on the weekend and addressed the concern. My mom was happy and I would recommend this place.

Park Place is a very caring facility Everyone that works there has a very pleasant demeanor. When I needed to place my Dad in a Home because of his Dementia I was concerned for his care. I tell you that I am very pleased with the care he received. They called it his home and they treated him like family and he felt that way. They are the most loving , caring and capable people I have ever meet. Everyone there made my Dad's experience the best it could have ever been. I am grateful for the Staff at Park Place and I ask God to Bless each one of them and give them strength to continue doing the wonderful job that they do.

The place is dated and in need of a general modernization and cleanup. Staff was adequately trained. In y opinion it is understaffed. I cannot recommend this place.

My family member was a resident in December 2016.-January 2017. I was impressed from the start because there were no bad smells and the cleanliness of the place. I toured the facility and had the opportunity to meet some current residents and families who were all pleased with the care. My family member had a positive stay because the nursing and rehab department were excellent. The food was pretty good and had a lot of choices. She could eat in the dining room or in her room. The Managers and Administration were very visible and overall I felt that everyone cared about her.

A disaster of a nursing home if there ever was one. I had my mother there for two years until I could move her to a better facility. The staff speaks minimal English the doctors overly prescribe medicatipms. When I relocated her she went from 8 medications to 2. The food is inedible, and the rooms filthy. Clothing of my mother's was sent for laundering and never returned. We did receive other people's clothes despite the fact that my mother's name is on hers. I found items in her chest of drawers that belong to aides. I found food items in my mother's drawers that she is incapable placing there as she is wheelchair-bound.

After spending almost a year visiting a friend at this facility i have to say i am horrified at what goes on in this place. With only a number of professional, friendly staff members i see what really goes on in this place. Staff talks about patients horriably throughout the halls. Alarms are constantly going off as staff just walks right past and ignores them. It seems like this place is really going down hill. I would recommend sending family or friends else where . This place is just all smoke and mirrors set out to steal your families hard earned cash.

Genesis is the cleanest facility we’ve toured. They have good patient care, and my parents have been there for only a couple of weeks, but as of right now I am satisfied with what I’m seeing. They call us if something is wrong or some things need to be done to always keep us informed about things to do. The admission process was also good as opposed to the other one we saw. Here they offer family meetings to discuss the residents’ needs, which is a good thing.
