I like the personnel here and the way they treated my mother especially. They treated my mother wonderful. She's only been there for six weeks, but she's gotten very good treatment from everybody, and she seems to be making an adjustment and doing good so far. It's very nicely laid out as far as the assisted living. They have a memory care unit, and they also have a nursing facility. My mom is on the memory part of it, and it's a floor dedicated to memory care. She's doing well so far. They give her a little extra care as far as trying to assist her. She's had some issues with falls, so they're keeping a close eye on her, and I would say they're doing a very good job of that, and they're on top of it. She's had a couple of falls, and they've responded very quickly. As a family member, I've been very happy with that. So far, she doesn't seem to have any complaints herself. She likes the food, and right now things are working good for her.

I recently visited my 90+ year-old uncle , whom I had not seen in over a year. Apparently, his dentures were lost approximately 10 months ago. Whenever he asks the staff about getting new dentures, he is told "They've been ordered." I mean really, how long does it take? The poor man has no teeth and is unable to chew his food. I spoke to a rep about the issue and was told that "Dawn" would phone me to discuss the matter. That was nearly two weeks ago and I've yet to receive a call. I've tried phoning the facility, but either the phone goes unanswered or someone answers then quickly hangs up. It is ridiculous! When visiting him during the pandemic, we always met in a community room on the ground floor, which was fairly nice. Now, you go directly to the resident's room. His room (which is shared with another gentleman) doesn't appear to have had a deep-cleaning since Obama was in office. This place is a joke!

Terrible facility. The new management is awful and the quality of care has gone down hill dramatically. The new director is horrible to deal with. Do not place your loved ones here.

I won't go back to Spring Hills Matawan. My wife was put on a floor that wasn't even a secure floor for memory care people. I had to supply my own aide because they didn't have aides available. I had to pay for these out of my own pocket, which they said they would deduct from the monthly cost of the room, which showed that they still owe me money. which they told me if I have a problem trying to collect it, to sue them. That's their attitude. Never got the proper care, never got the proper security for her floor, even though they said they did with an anklet, there were no doors to lock in the section where she was. They had moved her into an area that was designed for assisted living, not memory care. That's why I had to supply an aide 24 hours a day. Ridiculous. I walked into a blind and got stung. I just hope nobody else falls for the same bull. And that was filthy, urine smell in the hallway where she was, and at the other second half of the second floor where she was, as soon as you open the door that's all you smelled, was this urine smell all over the place. It was terrible. And all I could get was "we're working on it." The room they had moved her in supposedly was a new room, which they had redone over because they had hopes of opening that floor for memory care. I don't know how they're going to do it because there's no security in that area. But the carpeting in the hallway was filthy and disgusting. The whole time she was there she never had anyone come in to clean the room. I took her laundry home to do every week because nobody ever picked it up. Just total inadequacy and no help from the community director, or the new director of the facility. No help whatsoever except the snotty answer at the end. "Well, there's nothing we can do. We're going to do this, you agreed to that. If you have any problems, sue us." The aides were terrible. They never did their job. I went there one day to see my wife, they had her in the room where they served their food, a small little dinette if you want to call it that, with plastic tablecloths that were filthy and nothing going on. The patients are all sitting there with each other and the aide is in a doorway with their feet against the wall as a barricade so nobody could leave. It was a total disappointment. Security was terrible. Half of the time there was no one at the front desk. You could walk right in and get in an elevator and go upstairs.

I toured here. The community was very nice and very clean. Everybody was very pleasant and very nice. They knew what they were talking about. If I had a question, they had the answer. I had no complaints with them. The staff who assisted me was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. The rooms were very clean. They're there to serve the purpose. They were very nice and very clean rooms. I have no complaints about anything.

I visited here. It was very nice, the people were very nice there, and they have a very nice facility, but it was too expensive. It would be a very nice place to live. They have bingo, trips to restaurants, and I think they've got some gambling going on. The person who showed me around was very nice, very informative, and readily answered my questions.

My mother in law is a resident here and recently had an episode where she was very confused and disorientated. While they were waiting for the ambulance to take her to the hospital, the aides took turns staying with her so she wouldn't be alone and afraid. Even after I arrived, they stayed with her. I couldn't have been more impressed. The nursing staff is very competent dispensing meds and caring for their patients. There are activities everyday for the residents, and they can join in if they choose, or not. Mom needs quite a bit of care, and it is comforting to know that she is in good hands.

I want to express my gratefulness for the quality care and kindness received by mom, who recently passed away. Whenever I came to visit, she was clean, well taken care of and happy. I knew I left her in good hands so I had peace of mind.

It is very nice and very helpful. I can't really say for sure if I have any complaints right now because my father has only been there for a month. They're doing the best they can given my father's condition.
