We've seen the Brandywine Living at Brandall Estates. I know people that have used Brandywine in the past, and they've just been happy with them. It's also close to my work. The person I met during my tour was friendly, informative, and answered any questions. I saw their assisted living. They have apartments that would have a separate bedroom from the others, you do have a choice depending on what's available. There was one that, I don't know if it was more like temporary or whatnot, but it had a living area and then it had a bedroom and then a little kitchen. They have an extensive library and they have excursions that you can sign up for. If you were still driving, you could easily come and go as you please. If not, then they do have bus transportation to doctor's appointments. They have stairs and also elevators. The stairs can be a problem for some but if they have elevators, that kind of makes an alternative.

Brandywine Living at Brandall Estates is very lovely. It's a beautiful place and well cared for; however, their price was very high. The rooms were lovely. They were large. They had kitchenettes. The lobby was large, and they had staircases going up on two sides, which formed a balcony on that top floor and it was kept very well. I met the woman who was the activities director, and she was lovely. The people there seemed very, very happy. It was well-appointed. The girl who took me around was very knowledgeable. It was a lovely place, but it was more money than any other place. That was the drawback. I was very impressed. Several gentlemen were sitting outside, talking, laughing, and joking. That's why I went there on my own, because I saw this and I said, 'Gee, these people seem very happy here, let me go see what it's all about.' And yes, they have reason to be happy. It's a very lovely place. They had very caring staff.

My mom is a resident at Brandall Estates at Brandywine in Linwood, New Jersey for almost one year. She enjoys herself everyday with fun filled activities from morning till early evening. Whether it be an outing at ShopRite, Boscovs, watching a movie, making a root beer float, sitting at the pond watching the Coy, her life could not be any more fulfilled. There is something for everyone. The staff is amazing and accommodating to everyone’s needs and always willing to help and answer any questions. Everyone is dedicated and sincere. There is no better place for a senior to make this their happy home. Thank you everyone for making my mom so happy and comfortable. Sincerely, Beverly Papaycik

It’s a hard decision to move a family member from their home. My mom is 90, and last year I saw it was starting to become hard for her to take care of herself. I hired some care, but my mom lived 30 minutes from me and I was traveling there all the time to make sure everything was good. She didn’t like someone there and complained a lot. I realized this was not going to workout, she was not happy, and I was stressed all the time. I checked out a few Assisted Living facilities, but when I went to Brandall I immediately felt a warm feeling when I walked in. Everyone was smiling and saying hello to me. There was music playing and the person at the front desk was so nice and cheery! I met with Sherry, Executive Director and Katherine, Director of Community Relations ,I was given a tour and a lot of information. I immediately felt this was the place! Fast forward a little, with a lot of help and guidance from Sherry and Katherine my mom is a resident there now. I have been extremely happy now that my mom has been there since the end of June. She is still adjusting and has met a lot of good friends. She tries to participate in some of the activities , and there is a full monthly calendar with a ton of nice things to choose from.Everyone works very hard to make the resident comfortable and happy. Sherry and Katherine have been a great source of strength for me in the beginning and continues to be now. They are truly wonderful! I talk to Doreen, Director of Nursing about different things that come up about my mom, and she is always available for me, and I thank her! From Sherry, Katherine, Doreen, all the hard working nurses and aids, Food and Beverage, Engineering, Social Director and Housekeeping, they are all amazing. Brandall has a lot of very talented employed and they make the activities very fun. To wrap this up, I have found Brandall to be a wonderful Assisted Living home with a very professional, warm and living atmosphere. Thank you, Brandall!!! Randi Seiden

Our mother moved into Brandall Estates in mid April and we are very pleased with the facility and the staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and attentive to her. She has adjusted well and enjoys taking part in the activities especially the bingo three times a week. The facility is very clean and the housekeeping staff takes good care of her laundry each week which is part of the monthly cost. When she isn't feeling well the nurses are caring and she gets medical attention right in her room no need for doctor appointments off site. She is a very social person and she has made friends there with the other residents and the "girls" on the staff. There are plenty of activites to get involved in so no need for her to stay in her room, and she enjoys sitting on the outdoor porches/patios surrounding the building.

I loved Brandall the moment I walked in. It was like a country club and all the residents I walked by were smiling. I knew that was the one I wanted my mom to see out of all the others I had looked at. She too loved it from the start adn has now been there four months. SHe loves it. She has made so many friends and the staff is so warm and friendly and helpful.. They drew her out from the start and she told me yesterday that she never imagined she would become so outgoing. She loves her room, her girls as she calls them (the aids), her friends she dines with and all the numerous activities. I could not have envisioned a better life for her.

Brandall Estates is a top notch community that doesn't even compare to the rest. My mother lived here for several years and the staff could of not treated her any better. Everyday she was busy with the activities or was fine dining with her new group of friends. Most of all she had caring people by her side during her final days and I slept well at night knowing there was always a nurse on site in case of an emergency. I would highly recommend this community to others who maybe in need.

I think the costs at this facility are ridiculous!!!! In addition to charging an additional 39.00 a day to give daily pills once a day, now they are charging 10.00 each time they take blood pressure. I was not ask about this additional charge nor was I told about it. They just added it to the monthly bill. The cost of this facility is crazy.

Our mother has been at Brandall Estates for almost 2 1/2 years. She feels safe and secure there and is busy from morning to night--just what she wanted. We can not say enough good things about the staff-- the nurses, aides, dinning room personnel, front desk, and the administrators., Everyone is truly concerned about the residents. The facility is beautiful and families are always included in wonderful events--Mother's Day Tea, brunches, barbecues. We would recommend this facility without any hesitation.

The staff at Brandall Estates lacked, and they really didn't keep my mom clean, even though I continuously followed up with the nurses, the evening nurse, the nurses in the morning, and the head nurse. Nothing really got resolved and they got to a point where I had to have a meeting with them. My biggest complaint was just the hygiene. My mom is pretty advanced and she gets agitated if you move her. They weren't really set up for that agitation part. There wasn't as much freedom. They were up on the second floor, and it's a locked facility, which was good and bad. In order to get her outside or to another setting, I would have to leave the locked facility and enter their assisted-living portion. If my mom was in an earlier stage, it probably would have been great. She was in the Reflections program.

Brandywine Assisted Living at Brandall Estates was nice. The staff seemed to be very honest and open. I saw listing of their trips, games, and movies. The rooms seemed to be more than adequate.

My 82 year old mother was living independently one day and having emergency surgery the next. It became apparent quickly that going back to her home was not a likely option for her. My first phone call to Brandywine at Brandall Estates connected me to Katherine, who could not have been kinder or more gracious. When we toured the facility I was very impressed. The building is beautiful and impeccably maintained. In every area we visited, the residents were busy and engaged. Once we decided that Brandywine was the place, Katherine guided us through the process, told me what to expect during my mother’s time at the rehab facility, and visited her there on a regular basis. We met Sherry the following week, who was equally supportive, encouraging and understanding. This was a difficult transition for all of us, and Katherine and Sherry guided us through with confidence, caring and a sense of humor. Often it was the little things I didn't think about (but they did) that made such a difference in the transition. Katherine encouraged me to select a paint color (which I dropped off and they used to paint her rooms). The maintenance staff hung her curtains, shelves and other items which we brought from her home. When we moved her in – it looked like home. They deliver the newspaper (which we ordered for her) to her room each morning. The food is delicious, the coffee good (very important to my mother!), the schedule full of activities. The staff is fabulous – management, dining room, housekeeping, and the women at the front desk are all friendly, caring and seem genuinely interested in the well being of the residents. It is a warm and compassionate place – and I feel fortunate that my mother is there.

Moving my mother to an Assisted Living facility was just as emotional for me as it was for my mother. The director Sherry worked with us and helped me acclimated my Mom to her new environment. They went out of their way to ensure that the transition was a positive one. We were treated as individuals which was paramount. Sherry's expertise, experience, & insight offered helpful recommendations that were greatly appreciated. My mother is thriving and "has her own life" which thrills me. She attends exercise every morning and is stronger than ever. She looks forward to what activities she can attend each day which brings joy to my heart to know she's happy.

My cousin is a 62 year old intellectually challenged individual with some medical issues whose parents are deceased and she has no siblings. As her guardian, after touring and reviewing a number of placements, i found Brandall Estates offers her the best possible environment and amenities; and it's located close to her family. She has lived here for 3 years. Brandall has an excellent, caring staff, and the staff to resident ratio is ideal. Personal care quality and hygiene needs are met with respect and dignity. Laundering is done for one resident at a time; your personal things are never laundered with anyone else's. The staff is responsive to requests, emotionally supportive and they provide a timely response to any concerns. Food preparation, quality and presentation are impeccable in their formal dining room with flowers and table cloths on every table daily. I was pleasantly surprised to see filet mignon, shrimp, and lobster on the menu from time to time. All of this, plus 24 hour nursing staff make Brandall a safe environment. It is a beautifully decorated facility that resembles the Floridian Hotel in Disney. The atmosphere here is homelike, very warm, and friendly. They provide stimulating social and recreational activities and have transportation for excursions to doctors, stores, the library, and restaurants. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Brandall Estates to everyone I know; when the time comes, I too would choose Brandall for myself.

Our family is very pleased with Brandall Estates. Our mother has lived there for 2 years and she has been afforded a great quality of life in her twilight years. She has Alzheimer's but she lives with dignity in a clean, bright, friendly community. The staff is caring and compassionate. Every elderly person should be permitted to live in such a manner.

My mother relocated from NY to Brandall Estates last fall. Initially, she was extremely reluctant so it was presented as a "trial". She is now happier than we have seen her in years. She is relaxed, healthy, well nourished, safe, and enjoying her new friends and activities at Brandall. The staff is amazing..any issue that arises is dealt with quickly and appropriately. Communication at all levels is excellent. The director and her team were patient and supportive throughout the initial transition and this made all the difference in the world. A very positive move move for my mom! I would highly recommend visiting Brandall for anyone who is going through this process.
