My sister was in St Lawrence Rehabilitation Center. They were very good. They had excellent care. It was a single room. The staff was very professional and very attentive, which is important. I think the food was OK. She really didn't have a great appetite at the time, but the food was OK. It was balanced meals. It was institutional food. I think they try to give you what you asked for and change whatever. I would say it was good and nutritional food. It was clean, and I think it's well kept. I think it's a very good place for a rehab.

My mother is currently a patient. We are very concerned with her care, she said it’s a challenge to get anyone when she has to use the bathroom. She has had to wait at least 1/2 hour or longer when she hits the call button to get someone to come in, and has been told that she’ll have to wait as it’s not their job to bring her to the bathroom. She asked a nurse for water and was told it’s not her job. Physical therapy is 1/2 hour daily! How is that going to prepare her for independent living. The food is a mystery, we have been bringing her meals. She asked for a pair of socks as her feet were freezing, she is still waiting for them. We are calling Medicare today to find out what our options are as this is gross patient neglect on the part of St Lawrence Rehab.

Unacceptable care. Bed linen unchanged for 10 days, Dr’s orders not followed, etc. St. Lawrence, once the finest rehab facility in the state, now the worst.

Nurses, in general, are very good. Rooms are adequate in size but very dimly lit. Food is the WORST, in fact, almost inedible. Administration not always available and not very communicative. All of the Physical Therapists I have had and those I have watched seem very well trained and knowledgeable

The rooms in St. Lawrence are adequate, and their hallways are brightly lit. And I guess that's really convenient for the people who are in there. But my father-in-law was at St. Lawrence for only two days. We ended up pulling him out because my wife was so disgusted. The staff was very bad. They just had an attitude. When I went in there, we went up to the office and we talked to the manager, and he knew we weren't very happy.
