I am a resident of Bentley Commons at Paragon Village. We felt assured. They take us to the casino a few times, just before the virus. They take us to restaurants, play cards, and different games. We have exercise and stuff here and . There are all different types of games. We recently went to Applebee's for lunch, also a Chinese restaurant. We have a salon. There's a library also. The outside is always nice. There's always flowers in the lawn. It's very clean, definitely very clean. They clean the rooms once a week. They come in with housekeeping. Maintenance is right on the grounds here. Any problems, they come and repair for you. Food is not bad; you have a choice of two entrees. If you don't want the entrees, you can have hotdogs, hamburgers, or grilled cheese sandwiches. Pricewise it's pretty good. When I checked other places, those were very expensive. You will only get one meal a day. For breakfast, they put on the counter, cereal, bagels, orange juice, and stuff like that. You have to pay for the lunch, or they take you to Shoprite or Walmart. You can buy your lunch there, bring it back, and make your own lunch. You can make your own breakfast, if you want to.

I went to Bentley Commons at Paragon Village. It was a very nice facility, a very spacious room, even the common rooms were a nice size. They were big and roomy. The staff was pleasant. They had a cafe where you could go and read in the cafe. They had a nice-sized room where they played different games and bingo. They had a nice little gazebo outside that the residents could go and sit on them. I saw the dining area, and it was very roomy.

The memory care unit is an amazing place! Top notch. As an anesthesia provider CRNA, I am extremely detail oriented and medically aware and so I observed and evaluated all aspects of care before placing my Mom. First and foremost- the environment they have created comes from a place of respect from the staff towards every resident and their needs. Without exception, I observed the staff interacting in a loving and caring way. They were friendly, upbeat, smiling and hard working. Meals are served on cloth tablecloths with cloth napkins and my Mom loved ordering from a menu with many choices. They guided her through the menu and she felt like she was at a fancy restaurant every day. The food was delicious and healthy and her physical status quickly improved. She always wanted me to leave a big tip! The staff are exceptional and well trained in Alzheimer’s care. There is such a cheerful and positive atmosphere. It functions with a sense of calm and serenity that put my Mom at ease. The staff quickly learned the little nuances about my Mom and the stage of her disease. She was so happy there! They respected her and she in return respected them. They shared tidbits of themselves so she felt like they were part of her extended family and she even remembered their names. My Mom’s room was spacious, clean and inviting. We decorated it with many personal items so it felt like home to her. The meal times and activities kept her engaged and busy throughout the day. She felt loved and safe so it wasn’t difficult to leave after a visit. She felt safe and secure in her new home. We are so grateful for the exceptional care the staff gave my Mom and my entire family. We all knew she was living in an amazing place and was well loved in her final days.

I went to Bentley Commons at Paragon Village. Their independent living facility was in one building and their assisted living was in another. They're completely separate there. The independent building was great, and the assisted living reminded us a little bit more of a nursing home. The independent living rooms were very nice, probably the nicest and the biggest out of all that we saw.

Bentley Commons at Paragon Village was very nice. They need to label the buildings, like one is for assisted and the other one is for independent, but we went into the wrong one first because they were not labeled properly. Colleen, the person who gave us the tour, was very good and pretty much answered all the questions that we had. They have activities for the residents ike light exercises, arts and crafts, socials, and so on.

I like Paragon Village, but they don't offer the level of care I need. The grounds were very nice and the staff was very nice. The dining atmosphere and the rooms were excellent. The only problem was they didn't have an intermediate level of care between assisted living and nursing. They have rehabilitation on-site, an on-site nail and hair salon, games, movies, and they do social activities like a sewing club and picture club. The people I met were really good, very caring, and professional. I would recommend them. It's a newer facility, really nice, and clean.

was quoted one price for an apartment for my mother, then the next day another staff member told us the price increase was about 700 dollars more per month...........................very expensive price for an elderly person on a fixed income.....about 4200 dollars per month for an aprtment with only 2 meals a day Oh. that includes weeekly housekeeping and changing the bed.

My father is in Bentley Commons for two months now. The facilities are very nice; everything is very clean. The people are very friendly, and his room is of nice size, easy to get around. Every person I have met has been extremely pleasant and accommodating, especially people at the front desk; when I bring him to places, I take him out and bring him back, and they are very accommodating. They do whatever we needed, and we often forget to take his alert off and they’ll hold it for him. At one time I came but I couldn’t find him, but they suggest to check in the theater and there he was. It seemed very good; his room is always clean, but he tends to clean himself as well. I had questions about when are they going to change the sheets and getting him involved in activities; those are the only things that I would say put me up to a 5 star.

I like Paragon Village for its price and location. The staff is very nice and very friendly. My aunt hasn’t yet complained about the food, so I guess it’s good. It’s very clean.

While my mother was at for about 5 years. During that time only twice was I upset, however they are big concerns. When she her memory was getting really bad they insisted we send her to a mental facility. She was there for a short time 2 weeks, however this was the last time my mother was ever able to communicate. The place they sent her was horrible and the staff at Paragon new this very well. She came back a vegetable and only cried. Then Paragon moved my mother to the Alzheimer's unit. It was so sad. My mom passed we said that we would have liked to donate ALL her things clothes furniture TV exc. and in less than 24 hours after her death they called YELLING at us to get the things they didn't want out or they would charge us rent. MY mother was not even buried and they were threating us. This made me wonder how they were with her when we were not there. Did they put on a dog and pony show for us. I am not sure I would recommend them.

I went to Paragon Village. It is like a little village. They have independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. They also have a shopping center. Everybody was very nice and very patient. Even when I realized that it was way out of our budget, they were very still very helpful.

The rooms were exceptional, a little bit larger, very neat, and very clean. The place was secure. There were lots of stuff that the residents could do. The dining room was very busy. We did see people there eating, and they gave us a sample menu. They got three menus a day for each meal -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- and they pick what they want. There was a group of seniors ready to go out, and they had an in-house movie theater. Paragon Village was just taken over by another company, and they're getting new paint, new closets, and new furniture in the common area.

Paragon Village had good staff. It seemed to be a nice facility. However, the design of the room was not very good. I guessed the building structure made the rooms not square. They were small, and you couldn't fit a king size bed in them, but they did have their own bathroom. The dining room looked like a restaurant. They had activities, and they had a bridge club. It is in a nice area. Hackettstown hospital was close by, and there were malls nearby also. They were in the process of being purchased by another company, and they needed to have some upgrades.

Mom went back to Paragon Village and she is at the assisted living area right now. She was previously there in their independent living facility. We decided to move her back after her rehabilitation because she is familiar with the surrounding and has gained friends already. We are really pleased with the staff, the food, and the services at Paragon Village. Everyone was very helpful. I think it's a top notch place.
