After selling the family home in 2017 and months of searching for the perfect place, our Father walked in to this beautiful serene facility and announced to Jessica “I’m ready to move in”. He was welcomed in Grand Lodge fashion, and given many opportunities to become involved in whichever physical and (endless) social activities he might be interested in. His apartment was comfortable and the food was good (albeit “not Mom’s cooking” -his words). Over the years Dad moved from Independent Living to Asst. Living, then ultimately to Memory Care. I believe they could use more daily help per the number of Memory Care residents there however, I would like to express my gratitude for those who showed our Dad their kindness, compassion and understanding (too many to name here - you know who you are) and we learned so much from them about this transition of life. Grateful Dad was able to call this Home.

I went to the Hillcrest Country Estates Grand Lodge. I did not have a good experience with the staff. I had very little communication with them. It's a beautiful place with lots of features. I felt kind of rushed, and they didn't answer my questions. We were ready to move in there. I had the movers all lined up, and I tried to call with questions, but I got no response from anyone. No one returned my calls or any of my messages. They had two memory care units and I think they had 15 in each. The meals weren't prepared there, but they had their own dining room and their own place for activities and everything within that group. Instead of putting 30 people in one place, they had two separate. I was impressed with them until I got disappointed with the staff, not the staff that worked with the patients, but the administration staff.
