My mom is living at this facility now. It is a lovely place with kind caring staff. Right now during COVID times are difficult and they are doing their best to keep the residents safe and occupied in a safe manner. One big complaint we have though is the food. It is awful. The residents have a committee which meets monthly and they kindly request better food. No change has been made over the past 6 months. Tonight's meal looks like processed turkey with packaged gravy, mac n cheese and maybe a red bean dish. No salad, no healthy veggie. This is typical. They really need to do better with the food, I've worked at homeless shelters which give out better healthier more balanced meals even during COVID

Lakeside was my second choice because of its location. It's newer, nicer, and fancier than the other place, and they're updating in the future, they said. It's a beautiful facility. The memory care is in a different wing. I saw a studio. They had quite a few activities, but I didn't see anything personally.

We went to Lakeside. It was nice, but it's old and they haven't remodeled it. It was a very large unit. The refrigerator and stove were very old, and they told us that if we wanted, we could buy new ones and put them in. I'm not going to remodel. My husband and I just thought we weren't going to do the remodeling. The clubhouse was separate from the building. And I don't believe they had meals. I don't think they had a dining room or anyway, you had to do your own. The halls were very dark. The price would have been right, but it just wasn't a good fit at all. I don't think the carpet has been replaced for a while. And the halls walking to your apartment are very, very dark. It's not appealing to me. I like light. I'm a person that needs to be in a lighted area. The person who took us on the tour didn't go over anything that they did. He wasn't interested in doing his job.

We visited Lakeside. The experience there was great. We got to see an apartment and stuff and they were very accommodating. The community looked like what we were kind of looking for. The apartments were nice. They were very up-to-date and a good size. We were both very impressed. The staff was great. Just wonderful. She couldn't have been better. We got to meet the maintenance guy, and it sounds like they take care of just about everything. That was good. That's what we're kind of looking for. Their dining area looked nice, open, and clean. It's a very nice place. All in all, it was very nice. The staff I met were very accommodating.

Lakeside Village was great and really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food looked really good and they have great choices. They were watching a movie when I was there. They had an arts and crafts room, a movie theater, and a little quick-stop shop where you can buy stuff.

Immanuel Lakeside Village was very nice, but I prefer a smaller place. The apartment that I could have would be on the second floor and I prefer the first floor. They have a library, a chapel, community rooms, their own dining area, a restaurant, and an activity room. The one staff member I met was very cordial and nice. The rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave.

Lakeside Village was wonderful and has everything my parents needed. They did not have an immediate opening. There was a short two or three month wait. The only thing we didn't care about was they wanted us to invest a large sum of money upfront which would eventually be returned when they either pass away or they move. We didn’t like that. But the facility itself was beautiful, the people were wonderful, and the rooms were very nice too. They had everything that other places had. There was also the opportunity to move from independent living to assisted living and then to the memory unit all in the same facility. We just don’t like that it’s a buy-in.

I found a good place at Lakeside Village. Overall, I have to say everything is very good. The building is quite new compared to others. The staff is very caring, and the food is wonderful. The only problem is they serve portions that are so big that I can’t lose weight, but I’m working on it. They have a lot of different things for people to do. They have different card clubs and movies. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, and the people are wonderful. In 3 months, I’ve come to know a lot of people and see them often. Everybody cares about everybody else, and that’s a wonderful situation.

I really liked Immanuel Lakeside Village because they had both independent living and assisted living facilities. I thought that there would be more activities and socialization because it had both. The staff were excellent. I tried the food and it was great and they had a beautiful dining room as well. The activities were shopping, bingo, cards, movies, crafts, women's lunch, speakers, a scheduled place they would go. They also had a good bus system that my mom could use to go on errands and a nice wellness facility. I would recommend this place.

This place was very nice. They have beautiful lawns and walking paths. The staff seems nice, helpful, and patient. What I like about this facility is that they have a pool and have warm water aerobics and I really love that. But it's just beyond our price range so we consider some other option. But generally, this is a place that is really recommendable.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with this facility. Everything was kept clean, there were MANY activities for residents to participate in, and for the most part everyone seemed quite happy. The staff were always helpful and patient (a quality much needed when working in a nursing home) and always quick to fulfill a resident or family member's request. A particular detail that I found to be fairly outstanding was the fact that this facility had a shuttle that would take residents who were unable to drive to go shopping, visit entertainment facilities, etc. However, while the majority of employees were outstanding, there were several nurses who certainly did not seem to be "doing their best" so to speak. These particular nurses seemed far too nonchalant about their job and sometimes would even flat out decline a resident's request. This type of behavior from an employee seems unacceptable, as all people working there should put the care of the residents as an utmost priority.
