My mom moved into Village Center Care of Wentzville. We chose it because it was small and very personal, and the care could be one-on-one. What we like the most is they have a lot of staff members. They do bingo, adult coloring, power walking, and all kinds of different activities.

The staff at Village Center Care of Wentzville was super nice and just caring. It was clean and felt up to date. You didn't feel like you were in an old place. The layout of the lunch room was just easy access and it was nice. They were just very friendly. It didn't seem like it was a job.

I was impressed with Village Center Care of Wentzville. It was a nice, quiet, and clean community. Kim, the associate there, was just wonderful. She was absolutely on it. She was amazing. She answered every question that I had thoroughly and then some. I was very, very pleased with her. She was like the selling factor for me. I can tell she's a very caring individual and really likes her job and does it well. The place looked clean and very well-kept. Everybody that I saw there looked like they were well-kept. I love the smaller community, so it doesn't overwhelm my mother. The rooms were very tidy and spotless. They looked very comfortable. They had everything that they needed. The bathrooms were the same way, very comfortable and very clean. I was very impressed with all of that. There was a common dining area, and I was there at 3:30. It was spotless in there. I couldn't get over how clean the place was. It was wonderful. The grounds were well kept. They had a beautiful fenced-in back patio, so they could go outside and sit, and it was a secure area. I was very impressed with that. It looked very comfortable. A lady was doing a puzzle and a gentleman watching TV in the common area, and I saw a couple of people puttering around. They all seemed like they were happy where they were, so I was happy with that. I liked what they had. They're not like the Taj Mahal retirement centers around, but I think it's a very quaint, adorable little place that an elderly person could be very comfortable in.

I visited Village Center Care of Wentzville. I had a very bad tour experience. First of all, the gentleman that I set up an appointment with didn't show up. Somebody else filled in for him. The facility in general was in poor condition. The rooms were not well laid out. In the room that they showed me that would be available for my sister, would have to cross the hall and go down a ways to use a common bathroom. It's an older building, but it looks OK from the outside. On the inside, it's poorly lit. They had visitors kind of lounging around in the reception area. I don't know if they were waiting for somebody or what. Anyway, it was not well kept. That place needed better lighting and a fresh coat of paint. We saw a few of the staff. They were OK, but I wouldn't say they were welcoming. It's not a place where I'd put my sister.

We toured the Village Center Care of Wentzville. We liked that it was small and more one-on-one care, the room size, and the location. It was just a good location for us. They take them on little field trips, which are close to our location, stores, and restaurants. It was clean, very clean. The staff was very friendly and detailed. They have a game area, and that's it. The dining area was nice. The Village Center was very welcoming and homey.

I wasn't impressed with Village Center Care of Wentzville at all. The place was old and not kept up, and it was dark and gloomy. The rooms were small and crowded. Everything seemed outdated. They were short-staffed, but the ones we met were nice. They had a little courtyard area, it was small, but it was nice.

Village Center Care of Wentzville is a small community, which means you get more hands-on help from the nurses. The lady that toured me helped out pretty much with my questions. She's worked there for 11 years, so that sounds really good. There's a yard where they can go out, a little smoking area, and a patio. They have games and do different things. Now and then, they'll take trips to different places. Right now, they're getting the floors redone, so it doesn't give you that homey feeling yet, but I think when they are done, you'll get that better feeling when going inside.

My tour of Village Center Care of Wentzville went well. My father is at the top of the waitlist. It's not a real modern facility. It's an old home, but it is very homey, which is what I like. It doesn't have an institutional feel the way most assisted living places do. It feels more like a dorm. It's old hardwood floors and it's an older building. It's not like a hospital like most nursing homes are. It's more like a bunch of people are renting a mansion with a bunch of rooms. I like that it's a small place. There are only like 8 or 10 rooms there or something like that. Some of them are shared and then there are one or two private rooms. I think my dad will like it there. There was only one person during the tour and her name was Christine, and she was very nice. She is one of the caregivers. They were just basic rooms. The only room that I saw was a shared room, so there are two people in there and not a whole lot to report on. Upkeep and maintenance seemed fine. While I was there, they were in the middle of installing a privacy fence on the grounds outside. There's a community room like a TV room where some of the residents watch TV together, and there's a dining room. My dad is a smoker, and it is a positive thing for us that there's a deck at the back of the building for people to smoke. The dining room was pretty small. It's a pretty small place, and it's what we're looking for. My dad is going to love it there because it doesn't have that hospital feel.

Village Center Care of Wentzville was very small. There were only a few rooms. I only met one person. She was nice, but she was not aware I was coming. She didn't have a whole lot of information. Everything about that visit was unpleasant. It was more like a nursing home, and it was horrible. The atmosphere, the condition, the smell, everything was just awful. It was very depressing from the minute I walked in the door, and it only got worse as I walked through. The smell was just unbearable. It almost made me sick. The rooms were depressing. Some had one bed in it, some had two. It was dark and dingy. It looks like an old house that needs a lot of updating and cleaning. It was depressing through the entire building. The sofa in the TV room looked like a leather sofa that had a big tear in it and sinking in the middle. It was a dark just narrow kind of TV room, not what I would call assisted living. The dining area looked like a dining room in your home because it feels like indeed a home and it had a little more light in it because of the windows. It had two large tables in there. It's just depressing to me. It didn't look clean to me, certainly not clean enough where I would want to leave a loved one.

My sister is staying at Village Center Care in Wentzville. She's in assisted living right now and she really likes it. She's doing well there. She's been there for 2 or 3 years now. I think she likes the people there. There are a couple of people that she really became close with. It's a pretty nice facility and they have good food for her, so I'm okay with it. I also like the staff. They always communicate with me. I like the price. She pays $2300 a month. Wentzville is a good location too. It's in the heart of everything.

My husband moved into the Village Center Care of Wentzville a week ago, and I'm satisfied right now. With the pandemic, I'm not able to be inside the place, but they have reported back to me, and it seems to be going OK so far. I would be more comfortable if I could go in and see everything that's going on, but so far, they're taking care of his needs. His room is very nice and pretty big. He now has someone else in the room with him and that seems to be doing OK as well. He says the food is good. It's not new. It's older, but it looks like it's kept up very well. The price is a lot better, and it's closer to me than the other place he was in. The only thing that I'm concerned with is there's no bathroom in his room. It's right outside the door, but so far, it sounds like he's doing OK with that.

I went to Village Center Care of Wentzville. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice. We went on a Saturday, the facility looked a little worn down, they had a deck on the back door back, and that's where people went and smoked. If you didn't smoke, you walked down the stairs of the deck to the open yard, and so you could sit outside when the weather was nice. That was a little disconcerting depending on what the level of memory care somebody would need because there was no fencing separating it from anything else. Somebody could actually walk down the stairs and walk out, and there was a railroad track just behind the building. It may not be a big deal, but it may bother some people hearing the railroad go by several times a day. The people were nice, like I said, it was a very small facility. When we did get there, on the outside even, it looked like the landscaping hadn't been taken care of, like the bushes needed trimming, and this is just the immediate impression we got when we arrived. It didn't look fresh and inviting, and it reminded me of an old folks home on TV, where they're talking about how you shouldn't put people in an old folks home.

My mother is in Village Center Care of Wentzville. Overall, it's good. The staff seems nice. She is sharing a nice room with one other person. It's not a large room, but it's comfortable for two people. They have various things that they do on a weekly basis. The staff seems to be patient and caring.

My mom is in Village Center Care of Wentzville, and they take good care of her. The doctor and workers are very good and nice. The facility needs to be updated, and they're working on that. They have an open area where you can go outside and smoke.

Village Center Care of Wentzville is a nice, small community, but it doesn't accommodate wheelchair residents. The staff is very nice and professional. The grounds are very nice and clean. The only drawback is that it used to be an old funeral home, so it looks like a funeral home. The rooms are different sizes and most of them are shared, and most of them have their own bathroom. When I was there, they were playing Pictionary in the living area.

I didn’t think Village Center Care of Wentzville was clean. It was very dirty and very smelly. My mother was alert and oriented, and most of the patients there were demented; we weren’t told that when we went to visit. They need to explain better what type of patients they care for.
